Dr. Frandson started seeing a strange phenomenon in the athletes he worked with. Nerve responses slowed. Fatigue appeared in bodies that should have been operating at the highest level. A friend of mine got this for her Zip code. It was from a pharmacy alerting her that RSV cases were rising in her area. Of course, the ad is urging her to rush in and get an RSV vaccine.

A jury just ruled against Meta and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The company must pay $375 million for violating New Mexico law in child exploitation case.
The jury said Meta failed to safeguard its family of apps from child predators and that it misled residents about the safety of apps like Facebook and Instagram. New Mexico attorney general Raúl Torrez sued Meta in 2023 following an undercover operation involving the creation of a fake social media profile of a 13-year-old girl that was absolutely inundated with images and targeted solicitations from child abusers.
The company says it will appeal.

Lead in children's clothing? Yes! This is according to a new study just released in Research & presented at the spring meeting of the American Chemical Society. Kids' shirt samples tested in the study exceeded the federal limits for lead in children’s products (100 ppm).
Lead is a neurotoxin that can severely damage a child’s nervous system, especially if they’re exposed before the age of six. Exposure can cause cognitive impairment, behavior problems, and delayed speech and development.
More brightly colored shirts like red and yellow tended to have higher levels of lead. Lead acetate is sometimes used as a cheaper way to help dyes stick to fabrics.
The researchers also simulated what would happen if a child sucked or chewed on the fabric as many babies often do. Researchers found that the exposure would exceed the safety limits on lead consumption set by the FDA.
