BioNTech will shut down major portions of its COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing network. This means closing multiple facilities and eliminating nearly 2000 jobs,. Why? Because revenues from its COVID-19 vaccine business continue to decline.

A particular nail in BioNTech's coffin came when a major German court ruling forced BioNTech to hand over internal COVID-19 vaccine safety, toxicity, and manufacturing data, including information about residual DNA and spike protein—for a major vaccine injury litigation case moving through the German courts. A lower court ruling favored the company but a higher court ordered a full re-examination of evidence tied to alleged life-altering post-vaccination injuries.

I'm so proud of my friend Reinette Senum, who formally submitted her petition to the EPA this week. She and her team have been working on it for two years. I know they've done hundreds of hours of research.

It's hard work, but as she says, persistence only comes from knowing, in your bones, that what you are doing matters.

Earlier this week, her team submitted their formal Petition for Rulemaking to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. They're asking the EPA to do what the law already requires them to do: regulate aviation aerosol emissions. It's time for the EPA to reckon with what these emissions are doing to our air, our water, our land, and our children.
