My dear friend Laura has always been the kind of person who shows up for others in their emergencies. She came to my aid when I had the stroke, left her family and drove to my home in Ohio. She has done this for others more times than I can count. Laura is an RN. My clinic refers people to her for health care, that is, until her sweet baby Elijah was born with serious medical complications. During pregnancy, Laura learned Elijah had a balanced AV canal heart defect. After his birth last year, he has continued to have multiple issues.

$270 million in fraud in 11 months? This is the amount a California man (who has just pleaded guilty) billed Medi-Cal through a business called Monte Vista Pharmacy. They submitted claims for expensive prescription drugs that contained generic ingredients that were “not medically necessary.”

The fraud occurred after California suspended its requirement that healthcare providers “obtain prior authorization before providing certain health care services or medications as a condition of reimbursement.”

Internal emails obtained by Senator Ron Johnson reveal that the Biden White House knowingly edited public messaging about stroke risk following COVID-19 vaccination. The documents, from the CDC, FDA, and White House, show government officials workshopping how warnings to the public should be worded.

In one document, the language describing the stroke signal was changed from "moderately elevated" to "slightly." That edit was not made by a pharmaceutical company. It was made by the United States government.

In effect, the emails show government officials conducting a risk-benefit calculation on behalf of a pharmaceutical product—no big surprise there. They intentionally softened the language around a known safety signal.

Del reminds us that this environment is what RFK Jr. walked into—a system where the government acts as a shield for pharmaceutical interests and then presides over the vaccine court where injured people go to seek justice.

On a March video call with over 100 NIH scientists, Wain-Hobson criticized NIH leaders Francis Collins & Tony Fauci over the dangerous gain-of-function research that likely started the COVID pandemic. He also criticized them for the controversial paper funded by the NIH called “Proximal Origins” that denied the possibility of a lab accident. Wain-Hobson says the paper was based on “no data.”

Wain-Hobson’s private talk to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) was not previously reported. No surprise there.
