That is the contradiction at the center of my conversation with Udo Erasmus.
 
Omega-6 is an essential fatty acid. Your body cannot manufacture it. Yet seed oils have become nutritional enemy number one in some health circles.
 
Udo believes we are missing an important part of the story.
 
After severe pesticide poisoning in 1980, Udo turned to his background in biochemistry, genetics and biology and began studying nutrition for himself. Eventually, he found himself buried in the research on fats.
 
One study told him omega-6 was essential.
Another raised serious concerns about oils containing it.
Instead of choosing a side, Udo started asking what happened between the seed and the bottle.
 
That investigation led him into industrial oil processing and eventually to developing methods intended to protect sensitive oils from light, oxygen and heat.
 
In our conversation, Udo explains what he discovered about chemical processing, bleaching, deodorization, plastic packaging and the effect of putting vulnerable oils into a hot frying pan.

What is happening in Tennessee? Christa Pike is still alive, even after receiving two doses of pentobarbital. She was taken by ambulance from the prison to a hospital for treatment. Following the execution failure, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee halted all scheduled executions for the remainder of 2026 while they do “a comprehensive, third-party review to determine exactly what occurred.” Media at the execution said nothing was typical about the evening but the Tennessee Department of Corrections said it followed the correct protocol to the letter. The protocol does not allow for additional procedures beyond what was carried out last evening.

It will be interesting how this all plays out, but I wondered why she has been on death row for over 30 years. Pike committed murder in 1995 and was sentenced to death in 1996. There is an automatic appeals court review, but the Tennessee Supreme Court upheld the death penalty in 1998.

So what's been happening since then? Her case then proceeded through something called post-conviction and federal habeas litigation. Those proceedings can involve claims that weren't resolved during the original appeal. By the way, Pike tried to kill another inmate in 2001 and was convicted of attempted murder in 2004. She also planned a prison break in 2012, soliciting help from a male corrections officer and a male pen pal from New Jersey.

For 30 years, Pike and her lawyers have been milking the system. Claims that her trial counsel had been ineffective. Pike pursued federal habeas corpus review in federal court. This is a separate layer of review from the state of Tennessee. There were claims concerning Pike's age—she was 18 when the murder occurred. One judge expressed the view that executing someone for a crime committed at 18 was likely unconstitutional. WHY?

They took the case to SCOTUS which declined to review Pike's federal habeas case. There was litigation concerning her treatment on Tennessee's death row. There have been attempts to reopen aspects of her case. Only recently has Pike's history of childhood sexual abuse and rape been brought into the picture.

Finally in 2025 Tennessee eventually set an execution date for September 30, 2026. And here's where we are.

Federal agents arrived at Tom Caldwell’s farm before sunrise and surrounded the property with armored vehicles and rifles. A retired naval intelligence officer stepped onto his lawn in handcuffs while laser sights crossed his wife’s chest. The arrest followed a trip to Washington where Caldwell and his wife Sharon spent January 6 near the Peace Monument photographing crowds and singing patriotic songs.
 
Digital records confirmed he never entered the Capitol building. Phone data, video footage, and photographs documented his location throughout the day. Prosecutors later described him as the mastermind of a national conspiracy.
 
Solitary confinement began inside a concrete cell where cold air ran continuously and medical prescriptions stopped immediately. Noise entered the room through hidden speakers. Guards forced Caldwell to the floor during beatings while he refused to confess to events that never occurred. A Bible request received silence from prison staff.

I want to take a minute to get political. I was talking to a friend last weekend who said that there was personal power in choosing to not vote in these midterms.

The question: When did big pharma actually start using horseshoe crab blood in vaccines?

Good question. The FDA allowed the crab blood test (LAL) to replace the older rabbit test for detecting endotoxin in pharmaceuticals in 1977. But the research began as far back as 1956 when researcher Frederik Bang discovered that horseshoe crab blood clots when exposed to certain bacteria. Bang and Jack Levin developed the basis of the Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) test, using components of horseshoe crab blood to detect bacterial endotoxins. They demonstrated detection in 1972.

I heard about this exercise being conducted on a college campus and thought it was brilliant. Students today are being indoctrinated that communism is the only way. As JD Vance says, they haven't been presented with any better alternative (until the Trump economy), so no wonder they think this.

It's time to change the mindset. If you're struggling with a young person who is going down the Commie road and wanting to wear the communist badge of honor do this.

Do an exercise that says we are going to take all your grades from classes and average them.

Watch them scream in horror that it isn't fair because they worked hard for that grade.
