I wanted to add an important labeling issue to yesterday's post about 3D-printed meat. https://t.me/DrTenpenny/46597
The USDA and FDA regulate these foods. Neither requires labeling of "3D printed" or similar wording like "lab created". Instead, once again we have deceptive labeling. If your meat says "cell-cultured" or "cell-derived" or similar wording, it has been created in a lab. Also look for words like "plant-based", etc.
Also wanted to add Israeli company Steakholder Foods just officially launched their 3D-printed meat in stores under the brand name "Perfecta". They are selling 3D printed steaks, chicken, hamburgers, & fish. Thanks to IceAgeFarmer for this info.
The "steak" starts as two separate plant-based pastes: one made from soy flour to act as "muscle," and one made from seed oils to act as "fat." Both are bound together with methylcellulose, a laxative, then loaded into a 3D printer that prints them in layers to fake marbling. They are now on US shelves.
Again, they won't tell you it's "3D printed". I am hearing this is mainly in stores in the northeast US. Let us know if you've seen it on the shelves.
Look for:
-Perfecta (the brand name)
-Plant-based.
-Plant meat.”

BREAKING: A Toronto lab that experiments on beagles is suing Ontario to overturn new laws restricting most invasive medical cat & dog experiments.
The new laws came after Animal Justice helped expose a cruel secret dog lab at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ontario.

My recent conversation with historian Brady J. Crytzer is about his book The National Road. It tells the story of the first federal project begun decades before the nation itself was born. It was the National Road that connected the US across the Alleghenies & into the western frontier. As a surveyor, a young Washington dreamt of uniting the Potomac and Ohio Rivers, & Crytzer traces the political rivalries & engineering marvels that brought settlers, ideas, & commerce deep into the American interior.
An older Washington knew the road had major significance as a route to unite the fledgling republic.
