Flick sagt jedenfalls über ihn, Coutinho und Odriozola: „Es ist entschieden, dass wir auf die drei Spieler nicht mehr zurückgreifen.“ #FCBayern @Abendzeitung— Maximilian Koch (@Koch_AZ) September 9, 2020While both Coutinho and Odriozola’s departure from Munich looked fairly certain, Perisic’s possible extension looked at times likely. Now, it looks like Bayern will have to resort to the wingers they have on a permanent basis.Perisic scored eight goals and assisted ten in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season. He’s been a great back-up option who always gave his all when putting on the Die Roten jersey. Whether it is because of economic or personal reasons, Perisic’s departure from the club will leave a hole for a squad that needs depth for the upcoming season.During the presentation, Flick was also asked about the future of Thiago and David Alaba. The treble-winner gave a very diplomatic, yet uncertain, answer: ‘’As long as they are in the squad, I plan with both of them.’’BFW fun fact of the day: Getting signed by Bayern Munich after a loan spell is a tough task. FC Internazionale Training SessionPhoto by Emilio Andreoli - Inter/Getty ImagesIt’s safe to say that a lot of Bayern fans would welcome Perisic back with open arms.Per Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport (via iMiaSanMia), Inter Milan is ready to listen to offers for Croatian winger Ivan Perisic during this summer’s transfer window. Bayern Munich is interested in bringing him back to Bavaria after he had a successful loan spell in the treble-winning 2019/2020 season before returning to Serie A. Bayern had seriously weighed the option of buying him on a long-term basis over the fall, but ultimately decided against it.Inter will listen to offers for Ivan Perišić this summer. Bayern are looking for a replacement for Douglas Costa, and are considering bringing Perišić back. The German champions will face competition from Hertha Berlin who have made an approach for the Croatian [@CorSport] pic.twitter.com/6PbyZ3J1KQ— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) June 9, 2021Now, Perisic is seriously on Bayern’s radar because they are looking for a replacement for Douglas Costa, who’s leaving Munich to join Brazilian club Grêmio. His return to Bayern did not work out as planned and he was not able to make much of an impact for Hansi Flick and company. With how effective he was in the 2019/2020 campaign, matched with his productivity in Inter’s Scudetto winning season, he could prove to be the perfect replacement for Costa. This season, he tallied four goals and five assists from a total of 42 appearances across all competitions for Inter, but his numbers perhaps don’t do his effectiveness enough jusitce.Bayern will face stiff competition from fellow Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin to try and get Perisic. It’s understood that they’ve already made an approach for Perisic not long after fighting back at the end of the season to avoid relegation. Berlin might be willing to spend more and offer Perisic more playing time as they’re in need of experienced attackers, but going back to Bayern would be a fairytale return of starts, warmly welcomed by Bayern fans.Regardless of if he chooses Bayern or Hertha, or somewhere else, for that matter, Inter would like to offload him so they do not have to pay his €4.7 million salary, so it could just come down to which club bids higher. His current market value per transfermarkt is roughly €9 million, so Bayern might have the upper hand if they’re able, and willing, to spend more money than Hertha.Per Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg, there has not yet been any contact from Bayern to Perisic’s representatives as of yet:Update #Perisic (due to many inquiries): So far his management has absolutely no contact to any Bundesliga side. Also no contact to #FCBayern! @SPORT1— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) June 9, 2021
