1. Xu Jiayin, a former steel factory technician, founded Evergrande in 1996.
2. Asia's former richest man Xu Jiayin's net worth from $45 Billion (2017) after the fall is estimated to be $22.4 Billion a 50% drop in wealth.
3. CEOs of India are attributing the Evergrande collapse to the 2008 financial meltdown, terming the ' Lehman moment' of China.
4. Evergrande together with real estate assets has borrowed to invest in electric vehicles, sports teams, theme parks, Grocery, and dairy products and is searching for a buyer to hive off electric and property services arm.
5. Evergrande has shed more than 90% of its value since the 52-week high of 25.8 Yuan.
6. The government is working on bailing out the company in order to curtail the meltdown from the financial sector.
