CSU released its updated 2021 Atlantic forecast:

"We have decreased our forecast slightly but continue to call for an above-average 2021 Atlantic hurricane season. Sea surface temperatures averaged across the tropical Atlantic are now warmer than normal, while vertical wind shear anomalies averaged over the past 30 days over the Caribbean and tropical Atlantic are slightly weaker than normal. Current cool neutral ENSO conditions are likely to persist (and perhaps even transition to weak La Niña conditions) by the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. We continue to anticipate an above-normal probability for major hurricanes making landfall along the continental United States coastline and in the Caribbean.

As is the case with all hurricane seasons, coastal residents are reminded that it only takes one hurricane making landfall to make it an active season for them. They should prepare the same for every season, regardless of how much activity is predicted."

"A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for Taylor, Dixie, and Lafayette counties through this evening from multiple waves of storms moving along a stalled front. Pockets of heavy rain are expected, with the southeast Big Bend being the most susceptible locations to flooding."
CDC updated guidance for pregnant women:

"COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for all people aged 12 years and older, including people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future. Pregnant and recently pregnant people are more likely to get severely ill with COVID-19 compared with non-pregnant people. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine can protect you from severe illness from COVID-19."
