Sayyed Jamal Ad Din Assadabadi, entitled Al Afghani, is considered to be the founding father of the “Islamic Revival Movement”. He was a far sighted Islamic leader, thinker and an activist who worked to transform Islam into a lever against Western Imperialism. He was a cosmopolitan of the great Islamic Ummah, living throughout the Islamic territory. He was especially famous for his endeavors in the so called Islamic “Awakening” movement. He paved a path which was followed by other Islamic activists throughout the 19th and 20th century.

My car had run out of gas. I asked Mahdi to give me a few liters of gas so that I can take the car to the gas station.
He said: My car's gas is from the treasury (Baytul Maal). If I give you even a bit of gas from it, neither you will see good, nor me!
