On the day when I saw Hasan's body, I caressed his face and said - Happy martyrdom to you. You reached your desire for martyrdom. I always wanted you to reach your desire to get martyred.

When Zahra saw his father, she got very upset. She kept on crying. We keep on visiting his grave. Sometimes I speak my heart out by looking at his picture. And when I feel very impatient, I recite prayers and Quran for him. Sometimes when Zahra misses his father a lot, she tells me: Life is useless without Baba!

O Ali (as) , they are beating you today, even your Shiites are beating you, they will beat anyone who takes your path, as if it is destined that your true followers should be cursed and excommunicated just like you. They should be beaten and live with torment and torture and go to meet their Lord from a world of sorrow and pain, and see so much of torture that when they reach martyrdom they cry out: "Fuzto be Rabbil Kaaba", By the Lord of Kaaba, I was set free.

We used to try and say things to each other that would strengthen both of us on this path. And the most valuable thing that happened was him achieving his heart's desire and reaching that utmost level, which if Allah wishes, will become intercession for us.

All of Farid's (the second name of the martyr) concern was about Israel. He said: "We have defeated the infamous regime on the military front, but unfortunately it is advancing on the cultural front. Satellites and mobile phones have taken over our homes. We should be careful about it. I asked him: Are you not worried for us. He said: I am not worried for you. As long as the religion of Islam is stable you are safe. Our jihad is for Allah and I have entrusted you to Allah.
