Around 3:45 pm Saturday, Castleton Fire was dispatched to a partial building collapse at 5 Mann Dr.
The hill behind the home along with the end of the road, and the corner of the house had sank 3-4 feet into the ground.
The village building inspector was called to οΏΌdetermine the safety of the home, and scene was turned over to him.
Units cleared just before 5 pm. Please avoid the area as DPW conned off some of the street.

The Ocala Wetland Recharge Park has been temporarily closed by city officials again due to several sinkholes opening at the property, marking a problem that has plagued the facility at least a half a dozen times since it first opened in 2020.
The city reported the closure due to sinkholes and subsidences on Friday evening.
βThe Ocala Wetland Recharge Park is temporarily closed due to multiple areas of ground subsidence and sink holes. The park will remain closed until a full assessment is completed and it is safe to reopen,β reads a statement from the city.

A serious accident occurred early on Sunday morning when a car and 2 motorbikes plunged into a large sinkhole on an approach road leading to Hoa Binh Bridge in Chau Thanh District under Tay Ninh Province, a neighbor of Ho Chi Minh City, leaving 6 people injured. They were rushed to the Tay Ninh General Hospital.
Initial reports indicated that a car driven by 43-year-old N.V.T. was traveling with 3 passengers, on the approach road leading to the bridge, which was opened to traffic in late April.
The vehicle had just crossed the bridge from Hoa Thanh Commune toward Hoa Hoi Commune when it suddenly dropped into a section of the road that had sunk.
Simultaneously, 2 motorbikes traveling along the same route also fell into the subsided section.
The subsidence was attributed to prolonged heavy rainfall.
