Adam Curtis explains how, at a time of confusing and inexplicable world events, politicians and the people they represent have retreated into a damaging over-simplified version of what is happening.
In this 2016 BBC documentary by British filmmaker Adam Curtis, an army of technocrats, complacent radicals, and internet entrepreneurs created an unreal world where familiar and often comforting details blinded us to its total inauthenticity. As a result of today's planned chaos and confusion, Curtis states, … 'We have retreated into a simplified, and often completely fake version of the world. But because it is all around us we accept it as normal.' Simply put, this is perception manipulation and management of the masses for greater control, especially the Western populations.
The term 'hypernormalisation' is taken from Alexei Yurchak's 2006 book, 'Everything Was Forever Until It Was No More: The Last Soviet Generation' where Yurchak argues that for many decades everyone had known the Soviet system was failing, but because no one could imagine any alternative, politicians and citizens were resigned to maintaining a pretense of a functioning society. Over time, this delusion became a self-fulfilling prophecy and its fakeness was accepted by everyone as real, an effect that Yurchak termed, 'hypernormalisation'

Kentucky Emergency Management officials confirmed that the towns of Livingston & Piney Branch are being evacuated following a train derailment.
The Rockcastle Co Sheriff confirmed that the train derailed bw Mullins Station and Livingston.
The train is on a CSX line. CSX said the derailment happened shortly before 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, and at least 15 cars were involved, including 2 sulphur cars that had been breached and lost some of their contents.
One member of the 2-person crew was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Kentucky emergency management officials say no one was hospitalized as a result of the derailment.
