My new fav Telegram Channel if the week: Mediterranean Man. Heres a sample:
History of Chocolate.
I have no idea why one of my subscribers would want me to write a detailed history of coca, but then everyone wants weird things these days.
So if you are American, chocolate milk comes from brown cows and chocolate magically appears in Aisle 5 in Walmart, a gift from the Lord to the American people for achieving their manifest destiny, according to the 14% who believe that anyway.
In all seriousness, Chocolate and Tomato actually share a similar thing - they were NOT indigenous to the Old World, so Italians never had Tomato, and I, as the sugar addict I am, would have never had chocolate, they both originated in the New World, you know, around Central and South America, that shit, at first someone crushed some coca and realized that stuff tastes good, why they were crushing plants is not my specialty to answer, humans sometimes do weird things out of curiosity, you never asked yourself why the first guy who milked cows was touching cows that way?
So they first made it a drink, then made it to a spicier shittier drink, then you know the whole economic argument of "whatever is valuable by consent can be considered currency blah-blah-blah" and then chocolate became currency back at the Aztecs, but they also drank it, so money WAS drunk in the Aztec Empire, nobody can boast that much, can you eat your paper bills anon? thought so.
And now the Europeans came by, and just as much as a white woman loves pumpkin spice, Europeans LOVED Chocolate, especially the Spanish, they were addicted to that shit, they made it sweeter and they brought it back to Europe, so much so it became a generational job and they had entire families specifically working on importing/refining chocolate, afterall, if the King wants chocolate, you must give him chocolate.
And then the Industrial revolution happened, thus chocolate became around for everybody, then mass produced in various types, etc etc and so on, nothing too special.
Well of course it was also exported from South America and it made its way to Africa and Asia, where now instead of little brown kids in South America cultivating it, its now little BLACK kids in Africa, Nestle duly honors them with 1 dollar a week payment, its either work in the coca factories or the lithium mines, and apparently now there is a new type of chocolate - "Ethical Chocolate", its like "Halal Certified" but here they tell you that this shit was made by actual adults with a somewhat respected paycheck, Nestle would probably prefer to sacrifice more children for Moloch than increase the salary - if they pay at all - for the children, soulless ass Swiss.

I swear I am not against the protestors - they are fighting for a just cause, most jobs held just by birthright? fuck that!
I am JUST this disappointed in the fact the government response was so inept that they were not being evil right even.
At least be evil right, professionals have standards, you fucking idiots
