The FDNY is investigating what led to manhole fires on the Lower East Side on Thursday afternoon.
Flames were seen coming from a manhole at Gouverneur St.
Investigators say calls came in around 4:30 pm about multiple manholes smoking.
ConEdison was on scene with firefighters as crews worked to contain the flames and smoke. That cause is still unknown.

Did you see what happened in Valencia with mud flows? Farmers stepped up with their tractors to clean the streets and The President sent his goons/police to seize them. And I believe the plot of this play is to deprogram us from belief in strong central government. Average citizens are turning their attention from the Feds to the local political criminals. Breaking the Matrix is really the grass roots push of getting us as individuals out of the cult.
