As to the argument that Lincoln was a bad guy—I’m not sure the Story is what we have been told. In fact I’m sure it is not. For example the statue standing above the Capitol Dome where this ceremony is taking place. That woman was commissioned to be after St. Mary but was actually patterned after the statues of Persephone in Rome. She holds a sword and faces East towards Europe not toward America.
