POTUS Golf course questions:

Zelensky says you’re supporting Putin by waiving sanctions?

“I’m supporting stopping the war between Russia and Ukraine.”
“Why because that’s what I do for a living. And frankly, Zelensky is not helping matters much. I think he doesn't want to stop it, but I want to see people not die.”

Macron blaming you and Iran war for rioting in France?

“Emmanuel, he's a friend of mine. I told him a long time ago, you're making a big mistake in France. You're letting everybody from the world come in. The whole world was coming in, and you know, as you know, Paris is going to be a Muslim city very soon, and that wasn't the deal. That wasn't the deal. I told Emmanuel, you should close up your borders, and let's see. I've known him for probably eight or nine years. I told him as soon as I met him. I said, "You're making a big mistake.” We closed our borders. He didn't.

Meet with Xi and Putin without Zelenskyy there?

“Well, I would meet in order, anything I can do to end the war, whether somebody's there or not, whatever I can do to end the war, and they do want to have a meeting at my suggestion because I'm going to be over in China in November on the denuclearization, and if we can do denuclearization, I will have done the world a big, big favor.

Zelenskyy says you’re on the wrong side of history?
“Zelensky doesn't know what he's talking about. Zelensky is a man that should have had this war settled a long time ago. If he would have listened to me, he would have made a much better deal a long time ago, and he’d have a million people living from his side. And to be honest, I don't think I think it's time for somebody else to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine. Because what's happened? Very little has this move, but a million people, a tremendous number of people, are dead. They're losing their male population. Ukraine could have had this thing settled a long time ago if he would have listened to me. And you remember the Oval Office, he would have had this settled a long time ago. Maybe it's time for Zelensky to get somebody else to negotiate.”

Sen. Slotkin suggesting the prosecution of Republican leaders to scare young conservatives away from politics?
“I think what they’ve done is weaponize government. Slotkin is a low-life who is ruining her state, just destroying her state. What they’re doing is really discouraging people from going into politics. No, they’ve weaponized the government, the Democrats. That’s what they’ve done.
Slotkin wants prosecutions of conservatives?
“Slotkin said that there should be prosecutions in order to scare people from going into politics. That’s a Democrat. That’s what they do. That’s all they’re good at. That’s why they’ve getting their asses kicked.

Feeling good about the midterms?
“I feel good. I think it’s fake polls. I had one poll where I was down by 3 and I won by 20. The person that was the pollster had to quit in disgrace. I don’t rely on the polls. The polls mean something but a lot of the polls are rigged, just like the journalists are rigged.
“Look at what happened in Iowa where a pollster said that I was going to lose Iowa and I ended up winning by almost 20 points. By the way, she knew what she was doing. That was a crooked deal. Up until then, a year she was always polling me correctly.  I was going to win by a lot. I had a great win in Iowa. And she said I was going to lose by 4 I won by almost 20. That was a crooked deal.”

golf course
“It’s old, its tired, it’s beaten up, it’s useless, it doesn’t do much business. We want to do something great for Washington. We’re going to basically build a better golf course. You can call it a renovation. It should be very simple. It’s something that the Department of Interior is allowed to do absolutely. All they want to do is fix up their property. It’s been allowed to get run down, bad, dangerous, dirty, lousy. It’s going to be one of the great courses.

Vice President Vance briefly gaggled with reporters before boarding Air Force Two.

He answers questions on Alaska, Ranked Choice voting and Lame Duck congressional session

Context: He is doing both a rally and a Fox News Townhall in Texas today.

ON ALASKA: “Of course, hiding from that, lying about it to Alaska voters, and I'm hearing some from some of my friends in the media that now Mary Peltola refuses to answer questions about the fact that she tried to commit election fraud against Alaska voters.”

ON TEXAS: “Good morning, everybody. Looking forward to campaigning with Ken Paxton, who's running against one of the oddest ducks. I think the Democrats have put forward on their side. A person who has talked about men and women's sports. A guy who's talked about, you know, just he's just a crazy person, and I think Ken Paxton is a great patriot. He's made an amazing Attorney General in the state of Texas. So we're going to go and talk to some Texas voters, and then do a little Texas town hall.” —pool

On Alina Habba and a pardon for Julio Herrera: “It's one thing for a person to get paid legal fees or whatever. She's a lawyer. I thought it was totally obnoxious and outrageous, and it's not acceptable.”

Asked if he expects her to make a donation to the library, he said: "No, not her. I expect maybe the people. I don't know if anybody wants to make it, but it's unacceptable what she did.”

On D.C. and VA suing to block the Arch, Trump said, “They’ve sued me on everything — they’ve lost every lawsuit.”

Asked about U.S. intelligence concerns around Jensen Huang’s relationship with a suspected Chinese operative, he said: “I didn't know about the specific thing, but I hope he's going to be okay. He's a great, brilliant person, and we want to protect our brilliant people. When it comes to chips, there's never been anybody like him. So we hope that everything's okay with Jensen. I have a lot of respect for him. I like him. We hope everything's okay. We'll check it out. We're going to check it out very closely.”

Asked if he still had confidence in Huang as an adviser on U.S. technology policy, he said: "I have a lot of advisors. I have a group of advisors. They all meet together. I would like to say yes. I mean, unless we find out something to the contrary, I've always found Jensen Huang to be very above board. But you know, you're dealing in a very complex issue, I will say.”

He said he would invite  Zelensky to the G20.
On Iran: "We still have to take care of, I would say one or two sites, but we can do that in in 10 minutes,” he added. “You probably could look at Pickaxe Mountain, and you have to take care of that.”

Earlier he said the Iran negotiations were “going fine,” but that "they're not very reliable." "We'll see if they make a deal.” He bristled at a question of whether he intends to resume kinetic action as soon as this week.

He called Abdul El-Sayed “a jihadist” and "a person that hates black people, hates Jewish people, and I think probably hates all people."
He called the Dan J. Sullivan candidacy “a fraud of the people,” and said, “Nobody can find him now, so he knows he's guilty.”
Florida Democratic senate candidate Angie Nixon is "not of the intellect to be running for the Senate,” he said. "She's a very low IQ person."

He said he would get a report tomorrow on the U.S. warning Russia of a possible terrorist attack.

He told El Salvador's leader "Look, you're running your country, you have to do what you have to do,” after Bukele told him he had a problem with Haiti. Asked if the U.S. would consider helping, he said they don’t need it.

No plans to meet Bolsonaro, he said, but "he can stay here as long as he wants.”
