Rozporządzenie MiCA wprowadza szereg wymagań i ograniczeń dotyczących usług związanych z aktywami kryptowalutowymi, w tym stakingu, co stwarza organizacyjne, operacyjne i prawne wyzwania dla Geco.one. Staking to proces, w którym użytkownicy blokują swoje kryptowaluty w sieci blockchain w zamian za nagrody, ale nowe zasady MiCA nie umożliwiają kontynuowania tego mechanizmu bez znaczących zmian w modelu biznesowym i operacyjnym. This decision results from new regulations introduced by the MiCA Regulation (Markets in Crypto-Assets) in the European Union, aimed at harmonizing and regulating the cryptocurrency market to protect investors and ensure financial stability.

The MiCA Regulation introduces a series of requirements and restrictions for crypto-asset related services, including staking, which pose organizational, operational, and legal challenges to Geco.one. Staking is a process where users lock their cryptocurrencies within the blockchain network in exchange for rewards, but the new MiCA rules do not accommodate this mechanism in a way that would allow the continuation of services without significant changes to the business and operational model. Specifically, with the implementation of MiCA, services like staking will be prohibited on centralized exchanges (CEX) because this regulation does not provide mechanisms for such activities without appropriate licenses and compliance with new regulatory standards.

Please be aware that all funds in USDT currency must be withdrawn to external wallets by December 29, 2024.
