Our ancient rishis were so deeply intelligent that they chose to express divinity in terms of symbols rather than words, since words change over time, but symbols remain unchanged.

Let us keep the deep symbolism in mind as we experience the omnipresent in the form of the elephant God, yet be fully aware that Ganesha is very much within us. This is the wisdom we should carry as we celebrate Life.

⁉️ Why is Shri Rama called as Maryada Purushottam ?

Shri Rama is the 7th avatar of Parbrahma Vishnu & is called Maryada Purushottam, which means the perfect man. Because Rama is the embodiment of truth, he is the ideal son, the ideal husband, & the most important the ideal king. Shri Rama is the paragon of virtues.

(The character in the picture is of Shri Rama & the Actor is Arun Govil from 'Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan 1987')

SHIVA is the entire creation.

Creation is a mix of opposite values - positive and negative attributes. The universe has fire and water, goodness and evil, and so on. Shiva is present in all opposing values. This is why Shiva is called Rudra (fierce) and at the same time, he is called Bholenath (the most innocent). He is called Sundaresha (beautiful) and also Aghora (terrifying). A famous Shiva prayer describes Shiva as Gauram (fiery), and in the same sentence, he is called Karunavataram (the embodiment of compassion).

A small story on Hanuman Ji

Hanuman ji was asked to fetch the herb from the Himalayas to save the life of Lakshman, Shri Ram’s brother, after he became unconscious while fighting Meghnath, Ravana’s eldest son.

The committee had intended first to find the herb in the Himalayan range. “The Dronagiri range of the Himalayas will be scoured in the search of the herb, the discovery of which is bound to be difficult as even Hanuman Ji had not been able to identify it and had to uproot the entire Dronagiri mountain and bring it all the way to Ravana’s Lanka (Sri Lanka).

।। ॐ हनुमते नमः ।।

Today is also "Telugu Hanuman Janamotsav" (Friday, June 4, 2021) and will be observed in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana (states of India).

शिवराज्याभिषेक दिन (Shivrajyabhishek Day)

Best wishes of 'Shivrajyabhishek Day', the symbol of justice, religion, people's welfare, good governance and nationality.

The era-changer Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj defeated the unrighteous cruel Mughal rulers with his incomparable might and established the Hindavi Swarajya on this day in 1674.

🙏 Tribute to such a unique protector.

Vat Savitri Vrat (2021)

Most of the festivals in Amanta & Purnimanta lunar calendar fall on the same day. Purnimanta calendar is followed in North Indian states, mainly in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab & Haryana. In rest of the states usually Amanta lunar calendar is followed.

However in, Purnimanta calendar Vat Savitri Vrat is observed during Jyeshtha Amavasya which coincides with Shani Jayanti. In Amanta calendar Vat Savitri Vrat, which is also called as Vat Purnima Vrat, is observed during Jyeshtha Purnima.

Hence married women in Maharashtra, Gujarat and southern Indian states observe Vat Savitri Vrat 15 days later than that of North Indian women. However the history behind observing the fast is same in both calendars.

According to history great Savitri tricked Lord Yama, the lord of death, and compelled Him to return the life of her husband Satyawan. Hence Married women observe Vat Savitri Vrat for well-being & long life of their husband.

Shani Jayanti (2021)

Shani Jayanti is marked as birth anniversary of Shani dev. Shani Jayanti is also known as Shani Amavasya. Lord Shani is son of Surya dev and rules planet Saturn and weekday Saturday.

Shani Jayanti coincides with Vat Savitri vrat. On Shani Jayanti devotees keep fast or Upvaas to propitiate Shani dev and visit Shani temples to seek blessing of Shani dev. It is said that Shani dev believes in fair justice and if appeased blesses His devotee with good luck & fortune. People, who do not have blessing of Shani dev, toil for years without getting any reward for their hard work in life.

Shani Jayanti is very appropriate day to perform Hawan, Homam and Yagya to appease Lord Shani. Shani Tailabhishekam and Shani Shanti Puja are the most important ceremonies performed during Shani Jayanti. Above ceremonies are performed to lessen the effect of Shani Dosha, which is popularly known as Sade Sati.

Shani Jayanti is also known as Shanishchara Jayanti & Sani Jayanthi.
