Should you practise IELTS Speaking with someone from your country or from another country?

I think any practice is useful, but:
- if you speak the same language, there will always be a temptation to switch to your first language when you find something hard to explain. This won't be a problem if the only language you can communicate in is English
- people speaking a certain language tend to have a similar accent and even make similar mistakes. So someone from another country is likely to give you better feedback.

Most importantly, imperfect practice is better than no perfect practice. Just make sure it happens!

Hi guys! πŸ’ƒπŸ»

Do you agree that the first impression you make matters in everyday life? What about your IELTS Speaking exam? πŸ€“

I’m asking because we can predict one topic in each IELTS Speaking exam with a 100% certainty. Your examiner will start by asking you some questions about one of these four topics:

☞ hometown
☞ home
☞ work
☞ studies

Practise your answers and make a great first impression πŸ˜‰

To improve your Reading, you should first figure out what's holding you back and then work on your weaknesses. You can do that step by step here: https://youtu.be/pxGfyQWAGss?si=mEvtzg_t9e_qi5wZ At a first glance, most of your scores are between 5 and 6, so reading books or articles and learning new vocabulary will definitely help. Good luck!

Such an important question! I know it may not be clear what exactly you need to cover in each essay.

However, if you cover only one side in this one (e.g. the advantages), you won't "fully answer the question" and your Task Responce score well be limited at Band 5. Ouch πŸ’£

If you take my courses, you'll learn exactly how to answer each type of task and meet each requirement πŸ˜‰

The sale lasts until Monday. All the links are in the post above ⬆️
