✅ در «مدرسه اسلامی اروپا» در هلند چه چیزی آموزش داده می‌شود؟
پیشرفت‌های اخیر در یک پرونده فساد مالی دو ساله و تقلب مالیاتی، که دانشگاه اسلامی اروپا نیز مشمول آن می‌شود، موجب شده تا توجه افکار عمومی به این مؤسسه جلب شود. وزیر دادگستری و امنیت هلند، با توجه به حکم دستگیری رئیس این دانشگاه اعلام کرده که این فرد ناپدید شده و ممکن است از کشور خارج شده باشد.

A recent development in a two-year-old corruption scandal -- involving the so-called "Islamic University of Europe" in the Netherlands -- has renewed public interest in the institution, involving tax fraud. The Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security said that the rector could not be found and is believed to have left the country.

گزارش جدید مرکز تحقیقات پیو (Pew Research Center) نشان می‌دهد اغلب بزرگسالان در آمریکا معتقدند که جنبه‌های مذهبی تعطیلات کریسمس در مقایسه با گذشته کمرنگ تر شده است، و گروه اندکی از این تغییرات اظهار ناراحتی کرده اند.
طبق این نظرسنجی 55% افراد کریسمس را به عنوان تعطیلات دینی جشن می‌گیرند، که از این تعداد، 49% معتقدند کریسمس بیشتر یک تعطیلات مذهبی می‌باشد تا آنکه تعطیلات فرهنگی باشد و حدود 9% گفته اند که کریسمس را به عنوان تعطیلات فرهنگی-مذهبی قبول دارند، در حالی که این تعداد در سال 2013 به ترتیب 59%، 51% و 7% بودند...

A new Pew Research Center survey finds that most U.S. adults believe the religious aspects of Christmas are emphasized less now than in the past – even as relatively few Americans are bothered by this trend.
Currently, 55% of U.S. adults say they celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, including 46% who see it as more of a religious holiday than a cultural holiday and 9% who celebrate Christmas as both a religious and a cultural occasion. After thirty years, the publication of Alexander Popovic’s book, L’Islam Balkanique (Berlin, Otto Harrassowitz, 1986), the academic studies on South-Eastern European Muslims have deeply changed due to many political events within the Balkan space and to several mutations in the field of social sciences.
Nonetheless, the studies of South-East European Muslims have not been exclusively conditioned by political events – transformations in social sciences at the global level have also shaped the evolution of this topic. The aim is to analyze the performative intervention of certain normative discourses and coercive techniques on the Islamic tradition, on the forms of socialization and on the more or less institutionalized civil and identity foundations of Balkan societies.

✳️ IRIC condemns the horrific massacre in New Zealand and expresses its condolences
In the Name of God
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we received the news of the most barbaric terrorist attacks and the heinous massacre of the innocent worshipers at mosques and places of worship in New Zealand. This terrorist act resulted in the tragic loss of life and injury of many innocent people whose only sin was that they gathered to worship God.
This senseless attack was an affront not only to the Muslim Community in New Zealand, but also to the people of New Zealand, and the broader humanity. It was a horrifying assault on a way of life that embodies decency and friendship and to those who believe in interfaith dialogue and coexistence among the followers of religions.
Real Muslims are the followers of the Prophet of mercy and peace, Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him), and those who have lived peacefully with the followers of other religions in different countries for many years.
Islamic Research and Information Center (IRIC) condemns these barbaric attacks and is determined to continuously combat Islamophobia, heinous terrorism and violence in cooperation with other peace-loving people and organizations and the international community.
We believe such evil acts can never defeat compassion and tolerance at this most heartbreaking of times and it is the responsibility of the international community to confront the rhetoric of hatred and terrorism, which is not recognized by religions or values of coexistence among peoples.
IRIC strongly condemns the incident and expresses its condolences to those who lost their loved ones and extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved families and the injured and wishing the injured an early recovery. May Almighty Allah expedite reappearance of the Promised Savior in order to terminate all cruelty and injustice in the world.

در این نشست که در دانشکده روابط بین‌الملل و علوم سیاسی دانشگاه سوانسی برگزار می‌شود، دانشمندان و کارشناسان رشته‌های مختلف علوم انسانی و اجتماعی، نمایندگان نهادهای مردمی و دولتی، سیاست‌گذاران، روزنامه‌نگاران و رهبران دینی گرد هم می‌آیند تا در ارتباط با چگونگی تعامل مهاجران و پناهندگان شیعه با پدیده مرگ و مشکلات مرتبط با آن در شرایطی که در کشور خود نیستند و برخورد کشورهای میزبان با شیعیان در این موضوع به گفت‌وگو بپردازند. هدف اصلی این برنامه بررسی ابعاد قانونی، دینی، سیاسی، فرهنگی-اجتماعی و اقتصادی مرگ و میر مهاجران شیعه و همچنین نهادینه شدن و به رسمیت شناختن شیعه در این حوزه در جوامع غربی می‌باشد...

This is a call for a one-day brainstorming meeting regarding Death and Shiite Muslim Migrants which will be held in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Swansea University, in the UK.
The aim of this international and interdisciplinary meeting is to bring together scholars of different fields in social and human sciences, NGOs and GOs, policymakers, journalists, and religious leaders to discuss how Shiite Muslim migrants (including refugees and asylum-seekers) deal with the phenomenon of death and its related matters once they are no longer in their mother country, and how the host countries, their governments and institutions, and consequently local communities respond to this.
In this international program, we are going to explore and discuss legal, religious, political, socio-cultural and economic aspects of the death and dying of Shiite migrants and also the institutionalization of Shiite Islam in this regard among Western societies...
