We have received reports from Agents about a change in the process of opening a support ticket.
From now on, requests will only be submitted via support.ingress.com, the support platform based on Zendesk, replacing the Ingress Scanner as the method of submission.
The full switch to Zendesk brings some neat quality-of-life features, such as logging in with your email to see a list of all your past tickets made through the new system and the ability to open multiple tickets and to do so on a PC, as it is a browser-based application. The new system also features a verification system that does not allow users to open requests in the name of other Agents.
Finally, you will receive an automatic email when opening a new ticket, with its ID enclosed.

With the first regions of the world now hitting April 8th, the hunt (delayed by a day) for the Orion Tokens has begun! The Daily Bounties now include 10 Tokens per individual Bounty as well as 20 Tokens for each of the two daily Milestones. New for this season is that the Tokens from the Daily Bounties do not replace any existing rewards but are rather added on top of them.
As a recap, this is how many Tokens you will be able to earn globally, no matter your location:
Daily Bounties: 6,720 Tokens
(84 days * 80 Tokens per day)
Event Campaigns: 12,000 Tokens

If you don't like this visual change you are able to return to the normal Scanner look by heading to the settings and unchecking the "SETTINGS_SEASONAL_EFFECTS" setting at the very bottom.

📊 Anomaly Score Predictor - Now Open for Beta Testing!
Agents, a new tool built by one of the admins of @IUENG has just launched: a website where you can predict the scores of upcoming Anomaly events and compete on a global leaderboard!
The platform is currently open for the first round of events with the Orion Series. A contest based on the leaderboard results will be running here on @IUENG with loadouts at stake for the first three positions, so your predictions will actually matter. 🏆
And no, before you ask: no betting with money is involved or planned.
🔸 How scoring works
There are four types of events to predict:
🔸 Series Winner - Pick which faction wins the overall series. 50 pts or nothing.
🔸 Anomalies - Predict the ENL/RES score split. Up to 120 pts, with a forgiving ±20% tolerance window. A near-miss still scores, and a strong call can open a real gap over the competition.
🔸 Global Challenge / First Saturday - Same format, but the window shrinks to ±5%. These events tend to finish very close to 50/50, so being precise is everything. Up to 72 pts.
🔸 Minor Events - (not available this series) Just pick the winning faction. Only 15 pts each, but usually there are many per series.

Niantic released further details regarding the XM Anomaly Events in the Orion Series!
Not much has changed since the +Gamma Series, here are the major differences:
Anomaly Season Points
Season Points will be divided differently across Challenges:
Battle Beacons: 100 points
Shards Battle: 100 points
Anomaly Uniques: 80 points
GORUCK Stealth and Urban Ops: 10 points each
Shards Battle Changes
🔸 The number of Shards per wave has been increased to 23, from the previous 13. 6 Target Portal per Faction will spawn, instead of 4.
🔸 Shards will now jump every 5 minutes, making a maximum of 4 jumps, demanifesting 28 minutes after they spawn
xx:02 - Shards and targets spawn
xx:10 - First jump
...
xx:25 - Fourth jump
xx:30 - Shards despawn
🔸 For the Shard Battle, the final score of the event will not be a Faction's best wave throughout the whole event, but will be the sum of
1) the Faction's best wave between wave 1 and 2

3) the Faction's best wave between wave 5 and 6
100 Series Points will be then divided based on these sums.
Onsite Medal

Designs for the Akira Tsukasa 2026, Victor Kureze 2026 and Hank Johnson 2026 Badges have also been published, but as of now, they're not available on the in-game store yet. An update will be posted when available.

Niantic Spatial has announced that the Peridot Mobile App will be winding down and servers shut off on August 31st, 2026.
The company explains the Mobile App is shutting down because the high technical demands and investment required to maintain its advanced AR features became unsustainable at scale. Additionally, the developers are shifting their priorities to focus on expanding the franchise into mixed reality and wearable AR platforms, meaning that while the App will be shut down, Peridot itself will live on on other platforms and applications.
The Ingress team has posted about this news on their own news blog and has announced an upcoming Peridot-themed campaign and Limited Edition medal. This free campaign and medal will soon be available to every Ingress Agent, new recruit, and Peridot Keeper. The exact details and the timeframe of the Campaign is not yet known.
And finally, written in the last bullet point of the Peridot FAQ, Niantic Spatial has reiterated that Ingress is not being impacted by this decision and will remain active as before.

New Redux Campaigns are coming to Ingress, focusing on three of the Nemesis Global Challenges.
From May 1, 2026 18:00 UTC to June 1, 2026 18:00 UTC, three new Dispatch Campaigns with the focus on Myriad, Umbra and Courier can be completed, each focusing on a different gameplay element:
- Nemesis Redux: Myriad (free)
The focus of this Campaign is on Hacks and Unique Portal Hacks and will reward Orion Tokens, the "Myriad Hack Challenge" medal (or wings for it if you have already gotten Gold in July 2019) as well as various items.
- Nemesis Redux: Courier (15,000 CMU)
This Campaign is focused on destroying Resonators and will reward the "Courier Meet You Out There Challenge" medal (or wings for it if you have already gotten Gold in August 2021) as well as various items. No Orion Tokens will be available from this Campaign!

Niantic unveiled further details for the upcoming Mother's Day 2026 Event!
This event will be active from May 8th @ 18:00 UTC to May 18th @ 18:00 UTC.
During the event's timeframe, Agents will be able to activate 13 Kinetic Capsules in parallel instead of 7.
Additionally, a premium Campaign will be available in the in-game store for 15.000 CMU: completing its bounties will award the “The Acolyte - Mother’s Day 2026” Badge.
Finally, to celebrate this event, some exclusive merch themed after The Acolyte is available at the Ingress Store.

We are sad to report that, due to low participant numbers, GORUCK cancelled the Events related to the Orion Anomaly in Prague, Sydney and Jersey City.
GORUCK announced this to the registered participants with an email stating that a full refund will be issued to the payment method selected for purchase.
The Anomaly rules state the following:
In the event of event/component cancellations, no Season Points will be awarded, i.e. the event/component will have no impact on the Season results.

🇪🇺 Niantic Spatial published its DSA Transparency Report for Ingress covering year 2025.
The Digital Services Act (DSA) is an EU regulation that requires online platforms operating in the European Union to publicly report on their content moderation activity. Niantic Spatial, as an operator of services available in the EU, is obligated to publish this data annually. The figures below cover EU-based accounts only.
👥 According to the report, in the EU there are 58.600 active monthly users.
Account actions
A total of 5,720 accounts were actioned during 2025:
🚫 4,780 permanent bans
⌛️ 622 temporary suspensions
❔ 318 actions in other categories
Appeals
⚖️ 312 ban appeals were submitted over the year
✅ All 312 were upheld by Niantic
🕔 Average response time: 1 day and 18 hours
To reiterate: this data covers EU-based accounts only.
Spatial received 62 DSA notices falling under the Cyber Bullying and Intimidation category. Of those, action was taken on 5 notices, on the basis of legal requirements and Terms of Service violations.
The report confirms that Ingress uses no automated moderation systems. All content moderation is carried out exclusively by trained human moderators.

Niantic announced an extension on the deadline for the Orion Global Op.
The new end time is now May 12th @ 18:00 UTC.
This extension was conceded due to "an issue this morning that caused Orion Global Op Points to stop recording" for about 45 minutes from 16:00 to 16:45 UTC. Points are being awarded since after this 45-minute-window.
