🤲 Supplication of Imam Mahdi (aj) for believers

O my God: By the right of all those who have besought You
and by the right of all those who have prayed to You in the land and the sea
(please do) bless Muhammad and his Household
and bestow upon the poor among the believing men and women with wealth and fortune
and upon the ailed believing men and women with healing and health
and upon the live believing men and women with kindness and generosity
and upon the dead believing men and women with forgiveness and mercy
and upon the emigrant believing men and women with returning them home peacefully and successfully
by the right of Muhammad and his entire Household.🙏

💠 Quran Light

And worship your Lord until the Certainty comes to you.

وَ اعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّی يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ

📖 Surah Al-Hijr, Verse 99

⚜️ It is cited in Majma‘-ul-Bayan that if Allah would say only: ‘worship the Lord’ and would not confine it to a certain limit in time, it was sufficient for man to worship Allah once and prove his servitude to Him. However, with this meaning, He convinces man to worship Allah as long as he is alive.

In conclusion, worshipping Him is the highest level of education; it provokes one’s thought and calls one’s way of thinking towards the endless boundaries.

It wipes out and washes away all the dust of sinfulness and negligence from one’s heart and soul, while inculcating supreme human values within him. It strengthens one’s faith and awareness, and makes one responsible in his affairs.

It is for this reason that it would be impossible to imagine that man might be needless of this great educational school for even one moment. Those who think man may reach a stage where he will be no more in need of worshipping, either have regarded man’s development as a limited process, or they have not grasped the full meaning of worshipping.

🙏 Thank you, O Baba Reza (as),
for granting us a path into your light.
The pigeons fluttered in crystal water,
their wings a sign of heaven in sight.
Your sacred breeze cooled every fire,
quieting the storms of worldly desire.
We drank your water, blessed and pure,
your food and tea made our hearts secure.
Many may love you across the lands,
but our treasure is your holy family’s hand.
Oh Baba Reza, hear our plea,
call us again to your sanctuary.
Let your breeze calm our hearts within,
and let us return to thee sometime again.

Imam Baqir (as) said:

There are three things in which Allah has given no one an exemption: returning trusts to both the righteous and the wicked, fulfilling promises to both the righteous and the wicked, and being dutiful to one's parents whether they are righteous or wicked.

💠 Wisdom from Nahj ul Balagha

When mischiefs come they confuse (right with wrong) and when they clear away they leave a warning. They cannot be known at the time of approach but are recognised at the time of return. They blow like the blowing of winds, striking some cities and missing others.

Beware that the worst mischief for you in my view is the mischief of Banu Umayyah, because it is blind and also creates darkness. Its sway is general but its ill effects are for particular people. He who remains clear-sighted in it would be affected by distress, and he who remains blind in it would avoid the distress.

By Allah, you will find Banu Umayyah after me worst people for yourselves, like the old unruly she-camel who bites with its mouth, beats with its fore-legs, kicks with its hind legs and refuses to be milked. They would remain over you till they would leave among you only those who benefit them or those who do not harm them.

Their calamity would continue till your seeking help from them would become like the seeking of help by the slave from his master or of the follower from the leader. Their mischief would come to you like evil eyed fear and pre-Islamic fragments, wherein there would be neither minaret of guidance nor any sign (of salvation) to be seen.

💚 Prophetic Ethics

"There is certainly a good exemplar for you in the Apostle of Allah." Qur'an 33:21

Before eating, he would wash his hands or perform ablution, and he would say: "The blessing of a meal lies in the ablution before and after eating."

🍽️ To avoid arrogance, he would sit on the ground to eat.

He never leaned on anything while eating, and he would say: "I don't eat while reclining."

If, for whatever reason, he didn't want to eat a certain food, he wouldn't criticize it.

As much as possible, he didn't eat alone, and he would say: "Gather together to eat; there's blessing in that."

💠 A Pearl from Sahifa Sajjadia

Sins have made me seek asylum in laying hold on the skirts of Your pardon,
offenses have compelled me to beg the opening of the doors of Your forgiveness,
evildoing has summoned me to dismount in the courtyard of Your might,
and fear of Your vengeance has prompted me to cling to the handhold of Your tenderness!

وَقَدْ أَلْجَأَتْنِي ٱلذُّنُوبُ إِلَىٰ ٱلتَّشَبُّثِ بِأَذْيَالِ عَفْوِكَ
وَأَحْوَجَتْنِي ٱلْخَطَايَا إِلَىٰ ٱسْتِفْتَاحِ أَبْوَابِ صَفْحِكَ
وَدَعَتْنِي ٱلْإِسَاءَةُ إِلَىٰ ٱلْإِنَاخَةِ بِفِنَاءِ عِزِّكَ
وَحَمَلَتْنِي ٱلْمَخَافَةُ مِنْ نَقِمَتِكَ عَلَىٰ ٱلتَّمَسُّكِ بِعُرْوَةِ عَطْفِكَ
