🚀 Japan’s First Foreign-Backed Rocket Launch Delayed Due to Typhoon

SPACE COTAN, operator of Hokkaido Spaceport in Taiki Town, announced on July 5 that the planned July 6 launch of the foreign-funded rocket “VP01” has been postponed until after July 12 due to Typhoon Koni (No. 3) impacting ship-based monitoring and debris recovery.😉😉😉

Developed by Taiwan-based space company jtSPACE’s Japan branch, the 12-meter-long, 1.4-ton rocket aims to reach 100 km altitude to test its performance. If successful, it will mark the first-ever launch of a foreign-developed rocket from Japan.🤗🤗🤗

🚀 Taiwan-Developed Rocket Crashes Shortly After Launch from Hokkaido Spaceport

At around 11:40 AM on July 12, a rocket developed by the Japan branch of Taiwan’s jtSPACE was launched from the Hokkaido Spaceport in Taiki, but crashed shortly after liftoff. Operator SPACE COTAN confirmed that the rocket’s flight was intentionally terminated mid-air.😥😥😥
