🍶 Beijing Hosts Sake Experience Event Showcasing Japan’s Brewing Culture

The Japanese Embassy in China opened a sake promotion event in Beijing on Aug. 7, featuring around 20 breweries from 14 prefectures, led by young sake makers. The event runs Aug. 8–10.😊😊😊

Noto Town brewer Shintaro Tsuruno, whose family distillery was destroyed in last year’s Noto Peninsula earthquake, said he hopes to learn what flavors Chinese visitors enjoy and bring the feedback back to Japan.☺️☺️☺️

The event is part of the global “SAKEJUMP” initiative, with Ambassador Kenji Kanasugi noting China is the largest overseas market for sake.😌😌😌

🚀 Japanese Astronaut Takuya Onishi Returns to Earth After 5 Months

🐻 Three Brown Bears Killed After Hiker Attack in Hokkaido; One Body Found

On August 15, police searching Mt. Rausu (1,660m) in Shiretoko, Hokkaido, for a missing male hiker attacked by a brown bear found a body in the mountains. Authorities are confirming if it is the missing man. Three bears (one adult, two cubs) were shot near the attack site, but it’s unclear if they were responsible. DNA testing will be conducted.🤯🤯🤯

Nearby, searchers discovered the man’s wallet, bloodstained shirt, torn pants, shoes, and backpack, along with drag marks and blood on trees and the ground.
