📢 New Labour Codes 2025: Your Salary Slip Will Change!

From 21 November 2025, India’s new labour codes redefine how “salary” is calculated.
This applies to IT, startups, sales, factories - anyone on payroll.

Earlier, different laws calculated wages differently (PF, ESI, bonus, gratuity).
This allowed employers to keep basic pay low and load salaries with allowances.

That loophole is closing.

📌 Under the new codes:
At least 50% of total CTC must be basic pay.
The rest can only be allowances.

💸 What this means for you:
• Higher PF and ESI contributions
• Better gratuity and retirement benefits
• Some may newly fall under PF/ESI
• Monthly take-home may reduce slightly

This change affects most salaried employees. Many still aren’t aware!

New Labour Codes 2025 !

Employees may now see salary calculations based on 12.5 months instead of 12 months.

These changes are a result of the implementation of India’s four new Labour Codes.

One of the most significant updates is the redefinition of gratuity provisions.
Earlier, gratuity eligibility was limited to employees completing five years of service.

Under the new framework, gratuity will no longer be restricted to a five-year threshold.
Employees with shorter or varying service periods may also become eligible.

This reform aims to strengthen employee benefits and long-term financial security.
Several other structural and compliance-related changes have also been introduced.

Both employers and employees must stay informed to understand the full impact of these reforms.
