~ Fatimah (sa) on the day of Judgement ~

Narrated that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله) said:

"When the Day of Resurrection comes, Fatimah (عليها السلام) will arrive in a company of her women. It will be said to her, 'Enter Paradise.'

She will reply, "I will not enter until I know what was done to my son after me."

It will be said to her, "Look into the heart [center] of the (land of) Resurrection."

She will look and see al-Husayn (عليه السلام) standing, but with no head upon him.

(Seeing this) Fatimah (عليها السلام) will cry out loudly, and I [the Prophet] will cry out loudly upon hearing her cry , and the angels will cry out load upon hearing her cry.

At that, Allah (عز وجل) will become angry. He will command a fire called 'Habhab,' which has been fueled for a thousand years until it has turned black. No relief will ever enter it, and no grief will ever leave it.

It [the fire] will be told: "Seize the killers of al-Husayn (عليه السلام) and the bearers of the Qur'an [i.e. those who knew the teachings of the Qur'an, yet participated in the killing of Imam Husain (ع)]."

So the fire will seize them.

Then they will speak with sharp, eloquent tongues, saying: "Our Lord, why have You obligated the Fire for us even before the idol-worshippers?"

The answer will come to them from Allah (تعالى): "Indeed, one who knows is not like one who does not know."

~ What to do in Karbala ~

As part of a long narration..

Then Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said: "I have been informed that a group of people from the outskirts of Kufa, along with others and women, come to him [Imam Husain (as)] to mourn him; and that is during the middle of Sha'ban. Among them are those who recite [poems etc.], those who narrate [the events of Karbala], those who lament/cry, and those who recite elegies."

The narrator replied: "Yes, may I be sacrificed for you. I have witnessed some of what you describe."

The Imam then said: "Praise be to Allah, who has placed among the people those who come to us, praise us, and mourn for us. And He has made our enemies who speak evil about them [the visitors] for their nearness to us and others—threatening them and rebuking/criticizing what they do."

~ Chapter: 3, Verse: 26 - The Kingdom given to the Imams ~

The Narrator says,

I said to Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) about the verse -

"Say - O Allah, Master of the Kingdom! You give the kingdom to whomsoever You will and take away the kingdom from whomsoever You will." (3:26) -

Has Allah (عز وجل) not given the kingdom to the Bani Umayyah?

The Imam said, "It is not as you think. Indeed Allah (عز وجل) gave Us the kingdom and the Bani Umayyah took it away. It is like the man who has a garment and another one takes it away from him, so it still does not belong to the one who took it (unlawfully)".

~ Kindness of the Imam ~

Narrated from Zayd Al-Shahham, who said:

I visited Abu Abd-Allah Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام), and he said: "O Zayd, renew your worship and bring about fresh repentance."

I (the narrator) said: "May I be sacrificed for you, you have announced my death to me!"

The Imam said: "O Zayd, what is with us is better for you, and you are from among our Shi'a (followers)."

I (the narrator) said: "And what does it mean for me, that I am from among your Shi'a?"

He said to me: "You are from our Shi'a. To us belongs the Path [Al-Sirat], the Scale [Al-Mizan], and the reckoning [Hisab] of our Shi'a. By Allah, I am more merciful to you than you are to yourselves. It is as though I am looking at you and your companion in your rank in Paradise."

Narrated from Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) about the words of Allah (swt), "And do not be divided" (3:103)

Imam (as) said, "Verily Allah knew that they (the community) would divide after their Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) and would differ amongst themselves, so He forbid them from being divided like he forbid the ones before them and ordered them to gather upon the Wilayah of Aal-e-Mohammad (عليهم السلام) and not be divided."

~ Why named al-Ridha (as) ~

Narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr al-Bizanti, who said:
I said to Abu Jafar Muhammad ibn Ali (عليه السلام):

"A group of your opponents claim that al-Ma'mun [Rashid] named your father 'al-Ridha' only because he chose/accepted him for his succession (to the throne)."

The Imam replied: "By Allah, they have lied and committed a sin! Rather, Allah (تبارك وتعالى) named him 'al-Ridha' because he was pleasing to Allah (عز وجل) in His heavens, and pleasing to His Messenger and the Imams after him (صلوات الله عليهم) on His earth."

I (the narrator) said: "Was not every one of your past ancestors (عليهم السلام) pleasing to Allah, His Messenger, and the Imams?"

The Imam said: "Yes, indeed."

I (the narrator) asked: "Then why was your father specifically named 'al-Ridha' from among them?"

The Imam  replied: "Because his opponents among his enemies were satisfied with him, just as his supporters among his friends were satisfied with him. This was not the case for any of his ancestors; therefore, from among them, he was named 'al-Ridha'."

~ Submission to the Imams ~

Narrated that Ali ibn al-Husain (عليهما السلام) said,

"The religion of Allah (عز و جل) is not achieved through incomplete minds, and false opinions and corrupt standards/criteria’s.

It is not achieved except through submission, so whoever submits to Us is safe, and whoever follows is guided, and whoever acts upon analogy and opinions has perished.

And whoever finds narrowness inside himself regarding something that We say or decide, has disbelieved in the one who has revealed the seven often-repeated [i.e. Surah Hamd] and the great Qur'an while he is ignorant of it."

"I am the son of the man who was …
An arrow from the arrows of Allah towards the Hypocrites,
And the tongue of wisdom of the worshippers,
Helper/Supporter of the religion of Allah,
And The Guardian of the affairs of Allah (Wali-e-Amr),
And the garden of Allah's wisdom,
And the container of the knowledge of Allah."

"He was a bold lion,
And a torrential downpour (upon the enemies),
He destroyed them in battles, when spears were raised and the enemy came in close – crushing them,
He scattered them - like scattering of the dust by the wind,
The lion of Hijaz,
The owner/displayer of wonders/miracles,
The chief of Iraq,
The leader (Imam) by Appointment (Nass) and by right."

"He was the chief of the Arabs,
A lion in the battles,
The inheritor (waris) of the two Mashars (referring to Muzdalifah & Arafat),
The father of the two grandsons – Hasan
The displayer of wonders (Mazhar al-Ajaeb),
The splitter of the enemy divisions/army,
The penetrating star (Shihab al-Saqib),
The succeeding light,
The victorious lion of Allah (Asad al-Allah al-Galib),
The one sought by every seeker (Matlub kulle Talib),
The victorious over every victor (Galib kulle Galib),
That is my grandfather Ali ibn Abi Talib (عليه السلام)."

Narrated that Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام) said as part of a narration:

"May Allah have mercy on our Shi'a. Our Shi'a, by Allah, are the true believers. By Allah, they have shared in our calamity through long-lasting sorrow and grief."

~ Through the AhlulBayt (as) ~

Narrated that Abu Jafar Imam Baqir (عليه السلام) said,

"Through Us Allah is worshipped. And through Us Allah is known. And Through Us belief in the Oneness of Allah (تبارك وتعالى) is established. And Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله) is the veil (Hijab) of Allah (تبارك وتعالى)."

Explaining the last words of the hadith, Allamah Majlisi says:

"And Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله) is the Veil (Hijab) of Allah – Meaning that He is the means/intermediary between Allah and His creations."
