An Options Contract gives the holder the right to buy or sell an underlying asset at a specified expiry date. The holder has the right but not an obligation to exercise the contract.
Hence, if the holder does not exercise their right till maturity, the contract will lapse on its own, and no settlement will be required.

The three main components of an Options Contract are:
☝ Strike Price - The stated price of the Underlying Security.
✌ Premium - A token amount to be paid per contract.
πŸ‘Œ Expiry Date - The day the Option Contract must be used.
Along with that, you should know about the Contract Size, Settlement Style, and Exercise Style.

Can you tell us what are the two types of Options Contracts? πŸ’¬
And once you start, be patient, keep learning, and keep going.

What else would you add? πŸ’¬

Trading has 3 main aspects:
☝️Trading System
✌️Risk management
πŸ‘ŒPsychology

A trading system helps you trade consistently;
A proper risk management strategy helps you minimize your losses;
An understanding of trading psychology helps you counter your bias & emotions and trade using the rules of your system.

All three aspects are super important and should not be neglected.

What are you focusing on?πŸ’¬

"The whole trick on investing is: 'How do I keep myself from losing?'”
β€” Paul Tudor Jones

Out of all the trades you make, what is really important is you don’t blow out all your money.

You can follow a 1:3 Risk-Reward Ratio.
Put simply, for every Rs.1 you lose, you should be making Rs.3.

This ensures that your losses are minimized while also not making you completely loss averse.

What is your ideal risk-reward ratio?
