📲 Digital land data grab? Palantir clinches no-bid $300M USDA deal

Palantir—the CIA-linked data-mining outfit – just signed a contract with the USDA under the PR-friendly banner of “safeguarding the food supply.”

The official explanation for the $300 million deal is that geopolitical chaos, trade wars with China, and fertilizer costs driven up by the conflict in Iran have left supply chains on life support

The USDA needs Palantir’s AI to:

➡️ Consolidate USDA agricultural data under an AI‑driven system (building on the existing “Landmark” platform)

➡️ Support the “One Farmer, One File” initiative, aimed at streamlining applications, payments, and risk‑monitoring for farmers while improving supply‑chain resilience

This creates a single, unified digital record for every US farmer.

Advocacy groups are warning what it actually means: a sprawling digital dragnet over America’s farmland.

🗣 Critics label the no-bid contract a quiet power grab that places private control over US agricultural data in the hands of a stalker company that gorges on data and bulldozes privacy.

The contract arrives just as the USDA pushes aggressively into gene-edited crops that don’t require old-school GMO labels.

Hence, concerns that Palantir’s “farm security” framing masks a broader globalist agenda.

💉 Palantir and HHS: Quiet wiring of US health data

The Department of Health and Human Services holds medical and insurance records for millions of Americans on Medicare and Medicaid. Palantir has spent years connecting these databases into a single searchable system.

🔴 Protect: the pandemic entry point

Palantir entered through HHS Protect, a pandemic data platform launched in 2020 with minimal oversight. Its Foundry software merged 187 data sources, from case counts to hospital capacity, into one centralised system.

🔴 ARPA-H: a defense contractor in
the lab

In June 2024, Palantir signed a $19 million deal with the health department's newest research agency, modeled after the Pentagon's DARPA. The contract puts a military software company in charge of strategy, finances, and performance for America's most advanced medical research.

♦️ The CDC's $443 million handover

In late 2022, the CDC quietly renewed its Palantir partnership for five more years at $443 million. Outbreak tracking, supply management, and emergency coordination now run on software built by a defense contractor.

🌏 Congress wants paperwork

In June 2025, Congressman Lloyd Doggett and 19 colleagues demanded three cabinet secretaries release all documents on Palantir's role in federal data systems. They are asking whether these tools are being used to restrict or deny Medicare coverage and whether the contracts bypassed competitive bidding.

🔶 Protesters force a retreat

In March 2026, New York City's public hospital system announced it would let its nearly $4 million Palantir contract expire in October. Street protests and city council pressure forced the decision after activists exposed that a company building deportation tools for ICE was also mining patient records to extract more money from Medicaid.

🚨 Palantir and FDA: How a defense contractor swallowed food safety

On October 25, 2022, the US Food and Drug Administration signed a $22 million contract with Palantir Technologies. The deal made Palantir's software the central operating system for tracking US food supply chain under a program called 21 FORWARD.

📊 Scarcity is a strategy

The partnership began back in 2020 as a pilot to monitor how COVID-19 was affecting food production. But the 2022 infant formula crisis turned a pilot into a permanent installation.

When Abbott's Michigan plant shut down after a safety recall, 40% of the country's formula supply vanished overnight — and Washington had no way to track or fix the shortage. Palantir became the government's coordination hub within weeks.

😶‍🌫️ Cloud with a padlock

The system runs on Palantir's Federal Cloud Service with Pentagon-grade security clearance and SOC 2 Type 2 auditing. In plain terms: the FDA no longer controls its own infrastructure. Critical data about what the country eats now lives inside a private company's cloud.

⚡️ Everyone got merged

The 21 FORWARD platform pulls data from the USDA, CDC, and other agencies to predict where food supply disruptions might occur. But that's just one piece of a larger integration.

Palantir's Foundry software connects the FDA with the CDC, NIH, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Veterans Affairs in a shared data environment.

During the pandemic, this same platform funneled data from more than 30 federal agencies, 50 state health departments, and over 5,000 hospitals into a single dashboard.

🔐 Hooked and keys tossed

The FDA now relies on a SaaS model it cannot rebuild on its own. The contract promises proactive crisis prevention — spotting weak points before they break.

I am in the natural foods and supplement business: if comfrey root is being touted for improving bone density and strength (I have been drinking comfrey root tea for the last couple weeks), the FDA will step in and stop it due to rumors of liver toxicity; in the next breath they’ll legalize a deadly mRNA injection for a child that’s never met any safety standards. That’s as corrupt as it gets. (1 min 9 sec) Join: @davidavocadowolfe 🥑
