The beauty of the architecture in any Hoysala era temple never ceases to fascinate anyone who vsists these temples The intricacies of the design & detailing, are infinitely awe inspiring, strongly riveting, instantly jaw dropping and numbing to the core. No matter how big or small the subject may be the attention to details, precision, proprotion and material selection have never been compromised. Thus, a series of temples have been created that have withotood the vagaries of time and weather over centuries. Marvelling us even today.

Bhuleshwar Temple - Yawat

The temple contains five Shivlingas in its sanctum. Owing to their being hidden in a trench, these Shiva Lingams can be seen in light. Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahadev are also housed in this temple. The temple also has an idol of Ganesh in female attire and is popularly called as Ganeshwari or Lambodari or Ganeshyani.
