किराडू मंदिर, उदयपुर राजिस्थान
धोरों के गढ़ बाड़मेर में किराड़ू का मंदिर और जगत (उदयपुर) का अंबिका मंदिर और नीलकंठ महादेव मंदिर। किराड़ू को राजस्थान का खजुराहो कहा जाता है, जबकि जगत लघु खजुराहो के रूप में जाना जाता है। दक्षिण भारतीय शैली में बना किराड़ू का मंदिर अपनी स्थापत्य कला के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। बाड़मेर से 43 किलोमीटर दूर हात्मा गांव में ये मंदिर है। खंडहरनुमा जर्जर से दिखते पांच मंदिरों की श्रृंखला की कलात्मक बनावट देखने वालों को मोहित कर लेती हैं। कहा जाता है कि 1161 ई. इस स्थान का नाम 'किराट कूप' था। करीब 1000 ई. में यहां पर पांच मंदिरों का निर्माण कराया गया।

Story of Dhwaja Sthambha – Mahabharata – 14th Book, Ashwamedika parva.
After Mahabharata War. Yudhishthira starts donations across the kingdom thinking himself as the greatest Samaritan. Sri Krishna wanted to teach him a lesson. So, advises to perform Ashvamedha Yagam. Yaga Ashwa along with other Pandavas start moving and all the kings accept the suzerainty of Yudhishthira. It reaches the Manipura Kingdom.

The courageous king of Manipura is MayuraDwaja, A great Devotee of Sri Krishna & Samaritan knows that Ashwa is of Yudhishthira sided by Krishna. Still MayuraDwaja thinks – to give up is not an element of the brave and stops the Ashwa. He understands stopping Ashwa is stopping his God and Pandavas. His son ThambraDwaja fought and defeated all the Pandavas and message reaches the Yudhishthira.
Yudhishthira at once thinks to start for Manipura. But Krishna has something in his mind – Says MayuraDwaja is invincible so let’s make a plan. Both disguises as old Brahmans and reach Manipura. MayuraDwaja expresses his desire to facilitates them. Sri Krishna Says – O MayuraDwaja, my Son is caught by a lion on the way, if you can give half part of your body as meat, we can submit it to the lion in return for the Son.
MayuraDwaja happily says yes. But one Condition Krishna Says – You should be cut by your wife & Children - he agrees. Astound by MayuraDwaja’s greatness Yudhishthira observes Tears in left eye of MayuraDwaja and says – it seems you are not happy doing the “Daanam” and we don’t receive such unsatisfactory “Daanam”. MayuraDwaja Says – “Its not that I am unhappy giving half my body. I am unhappy for my rest of the body is not of any help to you or others and that hurts me”. Yudhishthira had no words & his ego bubble broke.
Sri Krishna immediately appeared in his VishwaRoopa and granted a boon saying – “You will become Dhwaja Sthambha” in the places where Gods are worshipped and everybody will worship u before Gods. Without ur worship, the worship of Gods is of no gain.

This points to the existence of a far older advanced civilization in #Bharat with detailed knowledge of Scarab, a symbol of life and death..ll

A very unique Shivling made of graphite which shines like a mirror on pouring water on it and reflects the surrounding. It is believed that one becomes Blessed and all his sins & misfortunes will end just by seeing his face on this shivling.
Lakhamandal is an ancient temple complex situated in Dehradun district in Uttarakhand.
Lakhamandal gets its name from the two words: lakha (Lakh) meaning "many" and mandals meaning "temples" or "lingam". Plenty of artistic works were found in the excavations by the Archaeological Survey of India.
Lakhamandal has a history dated back Mahabharata period & is believed to be the Lakshyagriha built to burn the Pandavas.

श्रीमंत सरदार रावसाहेब पारनेकर द्वारा निर्मित मंदिर परिसर में कुसावर्त कुंड, गोदावरी नदी का स्रोत है, जो प्रायद्वीपीय भारत की सबसे लंबी नदी है। कुंड के किनारे पर सरदार फडणवीस और उनकी पत्नी की मूर्ति देखी जा सकती है। वर्तमान मंदिर का निर्माण पेशवा बाजी राव ने करवाया था।
मंदिर तीन पहाड़ियों नामतः ब्रह्मगिरि, नीलगिरि और कालागिरी के बीच स्थित है। मंदिर में शिव, विष्णु और ब्रह्मा का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले तीन लिंग हैं। मंदिर की टंकी को अमृतवर्षिणी कहा जाता है, जिसकी माप 28 मीटर गुणा 30 मीटर है।

Jagannath Puri temple
The Jagannath Puri temple is famous for its annual रथ यात्रा or Chariot festival, in which the 3 principal deities are pulled on huge and elaborately decorated Chariots.
Unlike the stone and metal idols found in most Hindu temples, the image of Jagannath is made of wood and is ceremoniously replaced every 12 or 19 years by an exact replica. It is also one of the "Char Dham".
The temple is sacred to all Hindus and especially in those of the Vaishnava traditions. Many great saints, such as Ramanujacharya, Madhvacharya, Nimbarkacharya, Vallabhacharya & Ramananda were closely associated with the temple. Ramanuja established the Emar Mutt near the temple and Adi Shankaracharya established the Govardhana Mutt, which is the seat of one of the 4 Shankaracharyas.
It is also of particular significance to the followers of the Gaudiya Vaishnavism whose founder Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, was attracted to the deity, Jagannath, and lived in Puri for many years.
