Harishchandreshwar Temple.

This temple is marvelous example of the fine art of carving sculptures out of stones that prevailed in ancient India. It is about 16 m high from its base. Around this temple there a few caves & ancient water tanks. The river Mangal Ganga is said to originate from one of the tanks located close to the temple. The top of the temple resembles construction with the north-Indian temples.

A short distance away, another temple called Kashitirtha is located. The fascinating thing about this temple is that it has been carved out from a single huge rock. There are entrances from all four sides. On the main entrance there are sculptures of faces. These are faces of guards of the temple. On the left side of the entrance is a Devsnagsri inscription, which is about saint Changdev.

Taked Tirtha, Nashik

This is an historic holy place. It is said that Lord Shri Ram with his bow and arrow created a water source when Jatayu was injured in a fight with Ravan. And that water source is now a big pond of holy water which is used for shahi snan during Kumbh Mela.

Temple of Jatayu is situated exactly perpendicular to the water source along with Lord Shankar's Pind temple and also of Lord Shri Ram.

There is also a round stone placed in a deep hole shaped like the Shankar Pind in the ground, which you have to remove with one hand and then wash it with the holy water and place it again in the hole.

"It is said that those whose wish is going to come true he/she only can remove that stone out of the hole. Others cannot remove it even after various tries."

Gangeswari temple is a gem of Kalingan architecture, yet very few have visited it, despite being on the road leading to Konark town. Its better known as the prototype of Konark which was built in the 13th century by Shaivite Ganga dynasty rulers & Gangeswari is their istadevi (Chodaganga & others).

The Nanjundeshwara Temple (also called Srikanteshwara Temple) is an ancient temple in the Hindu pilgrimage town of Nanjanagudu in the Karnataka state, Southern India.

It is known for the ancient temple of the god Nanjundeshwara. The Nanjundeshwara temple is located in the town on the right bank of river Kapila, a tributary of the Kaveri. Nanjangudu is also known as "Dakshina Prayaga" or "Prayag of South".

Nanju in Kannada means poison; the name Nanjundeshwara means the "God who Drank the Poison"
(halahala), a word that has its origins in the legend of the Great Churning of the Ocean of Milk; thus the town got the name 'Nanjangudu' which means "the abode of the god Nanjundeshwara.
