Legend Stories related to Raksha Bandhan – The origin of Raksha Bandhan bond can be traced to Mahabharata. Once when Lord Krishna suffered a nick to his finger after wielding the all-powerful Sudarshan Chakra, it is said that his own sister Subhadra began searching for a piece of cotton cloth to bandage him. But Draupadi quickly tore off a section of her expensive brocaded saree pallu and quickly sealed the bleeding. This deed remained etched in Krishna’s mind. Further to strengthen this bond Lord Krishna saved Draupadi from humiliation during the episode of “Vastraharan” or “Cheerharan”. Moreover Krishna guided and protected his own cousin Arjuna – the husband of draupadi by becoming his charioteer in the war of Kurukshetra.

हमारे मंदिरों को नष्ट करने वालों को यह पता नहीं था कि अगर एक भी स्तंभ बच गया तो वह सनातनियों के स्वाभिमान को जगाने के लिए पर्याप्त होगा ..
इन स्तंभों में सजावटी नक्काशियो वाले हिस्से को अलग से नहीं जोड़ा गया बल्कि पूरा स्तम्भ एक ही पत्थर को तोड़कर बना है । क्या इनकी फिनिशिंग देखकर आपको लगता है कि इसे मात्र छेनी से तराशा गया होगा ?

Built by the Chandela dynasty between 950 and 1050, the sandstone structures are most famously known for their erotic sculptures. And although only 25 of the original 85 temples remain today, that still hasn’t stopped the monuments from claiming a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage site list.

One of several restored heads of Naga, a deity taking the form of a King Cobra snake in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. This one is at the head of the walkway leading to Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia.
