पुलवामा से 12 किमी दूर आचन गांव है। जहां 1995 में प्राचीन शिव मंदिर को मुस्लिमों ने जला दिया था। अब यह मंदिर वीरान है। यहां के कश्मीरी पंडित पलायन कर गए हैं। कश्मीर में हिन्दू धार्मिक स्थलों को जलाने के कई उदाहरण मौजूद हैं।

Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. As per local legends this temple is as old as Saraswati-Sindhu Civilization but as per ignca records, the temple was built by Somavamshi Dynasty in 10th Century AD. This is 12kms away from Konarka.

Murdeshwar Temple and Raja Gopura: This temple is built on the Kanduka Hill which is surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Arabian Sea. It is dedicated to Sri Lokankara, and a 20-storied gopura is constructed at the temple. The temple authorities have installed a lift that provides a view of the 123-feet Sri Shiva idol from the top of the Raja gopura. The entire temple and temple complex, including the 209-feet-tall Raja Gopura, is one among the tallest.
