नासिक में स्थित 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक त्रयंबकेश्वर मंदिर को औरंगजेब ने 1680 ईसवी में तोड़कर वहाँ मस्जिद का निर्माण करके नासिक का नाम गुलछनाबाद कर दिया ।
मराठाओं ने 1751 में गुलछनाबाद पर कब्जा कर लिया और मस्जिद गिराकर मंदिर का निर्माण करके गुलछनाबाद का नाम पुनः नासिक कर दिया ।
नमन है ऐसे शूरवीरों को जिनकी वजह से हमारी सांस्कृतिक विरासत आज भी जिंदा है ।

#Bhu_Varaha_Swamy temple is a #Hindu #temple, located at #Srimushnam, in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Constructed in the #Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is dedicated to #Varaha (Bhu Varaha Swamy), the boar-avatar of the god #Vishnu and his consort #Lakshmi as Ambujavalli Thayar.
The temple had contributions from Medieval #Cholas of the 10th century with later expansions by #Thanjavur_Nayak king Achuthappa Nayak. A granite wall surrounds the temple, enclosing all the shrines and the temple tanks. There is a seven-tiered #rajagopuram, the temple's gateway tower.
Six daily rituals and three yearly festivals are held at the temple.

This semi-circular arch starts from the doorposts. There are two goats on both the pillars and in the middle there is a pylon of #Gandharva_Kichak. The crocodile's tail is patterned. This pylon is very beautiful except for the natural wear and tear. This is a must see for those who are fond of ancient #Aishwarya #temple sculptures.

Mundeshwari Temple
The Mundeshwari Devi Temple is located at Paunra Pahad, Ramgarh village in Kaimur district in the state of Bihar, India on the Mundeshwari Hills. It is an ancient temple dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Shakti and is considered one of the oldest Hindu temples in India. It is the oldest functional Hindu temple of India.
The information plaque erected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) at the site indicates the dating of the temple to 625 CE. Hindu inscriptions dated 635 CE were found in the temple. The temple is a protected monument under ASI since 1915. Local folklores say that Chanda and Munda who were full brothers and chieftains of demon Mahishasura were rulers of the area. Mahishasura fought decisive battle with Goddess Durga as mentioned in Durga Shaptshati. Munda made goddess Mundeshwari Bhawani temple while his younger brother Chanda made Chandeshwari temple at top of Madurana hill near Chainpur.
