🚨 Upcoming Midnight Testnet-02 Upgrade 🚨

Heads up, builders! Midnight testnet is getting a major upgrade with changes that simplify setup, improve performance, and boost ZK proving power. 🛠🧠

📅 Scheduled date: May 12th, 2025

Here’s what’s coming:
✅ Upgrade to Partner-Chains v1.5.0
✅ Support for BIP32-Ed25519 extended keys (goodbye key errors!)
✅ No more Kupo or pc-contracts-cli easier validator setup
✅ Switch from Pluto-Eris to BLS12-381 for 2x faster proof generation
✅ New ledger storage for lower memory use & better scalability

⚠️ Important: This upgrade requires a chain reset.
All block producers must re-register, and developers will need to redeploy contracts.

📚 Full migration steps & compatibility info are in the blog:

📍 TL;DR:
- Faster proving system with BLS
- More efficient node memory (up to 2x)
- Simplified block producer setup

- Validators must re-register
