Ever since, Manushi Chhillar’s fashion choices have been on-point. “Today, fashion has become such a big part of me. It can sometimes feel like a task- dressing up, getting photographed, but I have never looked at it as a pressure. I have always enjoyed it,” she says.
The actor looks breathtaking in a Nature-inspired ensemble featuring a drape gown with peacock feather motifs, adorned with sequins, and enhanded with structured shoulders, and cut out details at the waist from Maison H (@maisonhofficial). Manushi (@manushi_chhillar) shares how travel has changed her idea of home, “Absolutely. I always dreamed of a job that lets me travel, and Miss World gave me that. But the more I travelled, the more I missed home. It really formed my idea of what home means. My family has always travelled together. I don’t think my parents have ever taken a trip without us—except maybe for a couple of conferences. Even then, they’d take us along and turn it into a family vacation.
Now, whenever I experience something beautiful—a place, a hotel, a meal—I always wish I could share it with them. Travelling made me realise the value of coming back home and having your people around. That sense of grounding is really important to me now.”

Manushi (@manushi_chhillar) on her experiences while working on social causes:” There are so many, but one that deeply impacted me was during my Miss World year in Brazil. I worked on a project related to Hansen’s disease—what we used to call leprosy. Brazil has the second highest number of cases after India.
It’s not just a medical condition; there’s so much societal stigma attached to it. Back in the day, people showing symptoms were just taken away and placed in isolated settlements called “leper colonies.”
I met a 96-year-old woman who had never seen her child. She was diagnosed in her teens, became a teenage mother, and then was taken away. Even after she was treated, she couldn’t return to society because of the marks the disease left. That day, I broke down.
It made me realise how fortunate I was—to have awareness, support, education. And even now, whenever I feel like things aren’t going my way, I think back to her. That visit changed my...
