The Dirty Laundry
A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood.
The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbor hanging the washing outside.
βThat laundry is not very clean; she doesnβt know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.β
Her husband looked on, remaining silent.
Every time her neighbour hung her washing out to dry, the young woman made the same comments.
A month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, βLook, sheβs finally learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?β
The husband replied, βI got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.β
And so it is with life⦠What we see when watching others depends on the clarity of the window through which we look.
So donβt be too quick to judge others, especially if your perspective of life is clouded by anger, jealousy, negativity or unfulfilled desires.
βJudging a person does not define who they are.
It defines who you are.β

A boy asked the father: How Big is God?
Then the father looked up to the sky and seeing an airplane asked the son: "What's the size of that airplane?"
The boy answered: "It's very small. I can barely see it."
So the father took him to the airport and as they approached an airplane he asked: "And now, what is the size of this one?"
The boy answered: "Wow daddy, this is huge!"
Then the father told him: "God, is like this, His size depends on the distance between you and Him. The closer you are to Him, the greater He will be in your life!"
How close are you to Him?
Here faith can differ but concept make sense.

βππΌππ§βπ¨The magic paintbrush
Rose loved drawing. She was very poor and didnβt have pens or pencils. She drew pictures in the sand with sticks. One day, an old woman saw Rose and said, βHello! Hereβs a paintbrush and some paper for you.β
βThank you!β smiled Rose. She was so happy. βHmmm, what can I paint?β she thought. She looked around and saw a duck on the pond. βI know! Iβll paint a duck!β
So she did. Suddenly, the duck flew off the paper and onto the pond. βWow!β she said. βA magic paintbrush!β
Rose was a very kind girl and she painted pictures for everyone in her village. She painted a cow for the farmer, pencils for the teacher and toys for all the children.
The king heard about the magic paintbrush and sent a soldier to find Rose. βCome with me,β said the soldier. βThe king wants you to paint some money for him.β
βBut heβs already rich,β said Rose. βI only paint to help poor people.β
However, the nasty soldier took Rose to the king. βPaint me a tree with lots of money on it,β he shouted.
Rose was brave and said, βNo!β So the king sent her to prison. But Rose painted a key for the door and a horse to help her escape. The king chased after her. So she painted a big hole, and splat! The king fell in.
Today, Rose only uses her magic paintbrush to help people who really, really need help.

π¦π¦π¦π¦The ugly duckling
Mummy Duck lived on a farm. In her nest, she had five little eggs and one big egg. π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦’
One day, the five little eggs started to crack. Tap, tap, tap! Five pretty, yellow baby ducklings came out.
Then the big egg started to crack. Bang, bang, bang! One big, ugly duckling came out. βThatβs strange,β thought Mummy Duck.
Nobody wanted to play with him. βGo away,β said his brothers and sisters. βYouβre ugly!β
The ugly duckling was sad. So he went to find some new friends.
βGo away!β said the pig.
βGo away!β said the sheep.
βGo away!β said the cow.
βGo away!β said the horse.
No one wanted to be his friend. It started to get cold. It started to snow! The ugly duckling found an empty barn and lived there. He was cold, sad and alone.
Then spring came. The ugly duckling left the barn and went back to the pond. He was very thirsty and put his beak into the water. He saw a beautiful, white bird! βWow!β he said. βWhoβs that?β
βItβs you,β said another beautiful, white bird.
βMe? But Iβm an ugly duckling.β
βNot any more. Youβre a beautiful swan, like me. Do you want to be my friend?β
βYes,β he smiled.π¦’

"We don't grow when things are easy; we grow when we face challenges" - Anonymous
The concept of tests and exams was borrowed from one of the fundamental principles of Life. The principle of growth. Before you are promoted to a new class or rank in the workplace, there are usually requirements you are meant to fulfill - tests, exams, interviews. Most times, these tests are not easy but you have to pass them before you are promoted. That's how life is; only in this case, we are tested with trials and challenges.
No matter how much a macho man gyms, he can't claim strength over a 100lb dumb-bell until he successfully lifts it. That's Life. You can't claim to be strong until your strength has been tested and proven.
So why do you keep running from the things that come to prove your strength? If we keep running from trials and challenges instead of facing them head on, we will never grow, we will never level up, we will never rise! That's life. The more you rise, the more the difficulty of challenges and that's perfectly normal, because you also rise when you overcome them!
Stop running from growth. Face your trials head on and with wisdom, rise!

π―π―π―π―POTATO EGG AND HOT WATER INSPIRATIONAL STORY
One time, a girl let out all her frustrations about her life to her father. She said that her life is full of setbacks. There seemed to be no end to her problems.
Her father -a chef-took three same size pots and filled them with the same amount of water and started to boil, the father put ground coffee beans in one, some eggs in the second, and potatoes in the last.
20 minutes passed, and the father turned the flames off.
The father told , βAll three of these faced the same problem β the boiling water. But each of the three reacted differently. The potato was vigorous and sturdy when it went into the water but ended up soft. The eggs were soft on the inside with only a thin shell protecting it. But when faced with the problem, it toughened up inside. But the ground coffee was different. It blended with the water and made itself and the water better.β
The father proceeded βWhen a problem stares you in the face, which one would you like to be?β

An old man lived in the village. He was one of the most unfortunate people in the world. The whole village was tired of him;he constantly complained and was always in a bad mood.
The longer he lived, the more poisonous were his words. People avoided him, because his misfortune became contagious.
He created the feeling of unhappiness in others.
But one day, when he turned eighty years old, an incredible thing happened. Instantly everyone started hearing the rumour:βAn Old Man is happy today, he doesnβt complain about anything, smiles, and even his face is freshened up.β
The whole village gathered together and asked about it.
The old man said
βNothing special. Eighty years Iβve been chasing happiness, and it was useless. And then I decided to live without happiness and just enjoy life. Thatβs why Iβm happy now.β
Donβt chase happiness. Enjoy your life.
