RT @hpmcd1: There’s a weird dynamic with this whole thing where even the previously anti-Ukraine officials in the admin aren’t touching this with a 10-foot pole. Elon, who was posting “Zelenskyy must go” stuff the other day, is now making sure everyone knows the Pentagon did it so don’t blame him.

Messaging has been thru anon leaks or fobbed off onto various clown influencers—“Oilfield Rando” is the most senior guy who wants to own this.

The fact nobody in the U.S. government wants to own responsibility for the Starshield/Starlink slowdown is very telling.

RT @ErichMiller01: @Felix_Nuno @RobertClark62 It's the replacing all the national guard ABCTs. That's where they're going. You're right, our force mix is too light. The Army always does this between conflicts. Tries to go leg and unarmored wheels for budget. Then war and casualties happen, and we relearn the iron triangle.

RT @MeidasTouch: Trump is now calling for members of the media to be shot. This is so incredibly dangerous.

After saying he thinks leakers should be shot, Trump says compares the media to leakers: They leak false information. That makes them a leaker https://twitter.com/Acyn/status/2110476457281728742/video/1

RT @CBSNews: U.S. forces destroyed an Iran-affiliated vessel in the Gulf of Oman last week, the U.S. Central Command said on Wednesday.

CENTCOM said the dhow, a generic name for an Arab sailing vessel, was conducting surveillance and targeting U.S. Navy ships. The ship's crew members were "safely removed prior to destruction of the dhow," the military command posted on X.

It's unclear if the crew members were taken into custody or released.

RT @ArmyStrang: We've decided the pain of surviving an IED blast is too great a burden on the troops so we've created the Beach Blast 2000. The perfect vehicle for driving the dunes of your favorite mid eastern country right before getting vaporized by a drone

GM Defense says the U.S. Army’s planned Infantry Squad Vehicle requirement has grown from about 649 to nearly 12,000. Its five seat utility variant is expected across 39 active duty and National Guard mobile brigades. https://twitter.com/FaytuksNetwork/status/2110095767897616587/photo/1

People come to X to talk about what's happening in the world, including the upcoming 2026 US midterms. Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and we are proud that X is the global town square where these debates happen. Our job is to keep that conversation authentic, open, and safe.

To ensure these fundamental values are protected during elections, our Safety team uses a variety of detection methods to proactively find and act on activity that breaks the X Rules. These measures build on the safety protections we run 24/7, year-round. X's Authenticity Policy is particularly important to this work. Whether it is spam networks or entities engaged in influence operations, we are actively working to identify and stop coordinated inauthentic behavior that undermines the integrity of our platform.
Through proactive sweeps and investigations, X recently identified and suspended more than 13,000 accounts involved in three suspected foreign influence operations linked to Iran, Russia, and China that targeted US political conversation. The networks used inauthentic accounts to post and amplify content about US politics, targeting candidates and public figures across the political spectrum.
X's Civic Integrity policy addresses misleading content that could affect participation in elections or other civic processes. This includes content that may confuse people about how, when, or where to participate, or that aims to discourage participation. X relies on Community Notes, which let people add context and credible sources, alongside platform moderation. Users can report content under "Civic Integrity" in our in-app reporting flow, and their submission will be routed to request a Community Note, a collaborative way to add helpful context to posts and keep people better informed. Additionally, in critical escalations, X may apply a Civic Integrity label to posts that violate our policy.

We remain committed to X as a global town square where people openly debate topics of public interest and engage with election-related information. Our work continues through Election Day and beyond.

Two ships sank in the Strait of Hormuz this week after being hit in Iranian attacks, The Washington Post reports. The first is the Singapore registered container ship GFS Pride (photo below), attacked Tuesday. Singapore’s port authority said it caught fire, all crew were evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The second, an unnamed bulk carrier, sank Wednesday after an Iranian attack last month, according to the International Maritime Organization.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center reported three other ships hit Tuesday, marking at least four vessels that day, three of them container ships. Singapore’s port authority also reported the GFS Giselle being hit Wednesday with hull damage the result. It reached a safe anchorage under its own power.

The Post says Iran has struck more than 14 vessels in the strait over the past two weeks, and calls October one of the most violent months since the war began February 28th. It says the attacks have risen in response to the U.S. push to increase oil flows, which brought flows back near prewar levels last month. U.S. forces are protecting the increased traffic with air cover.

RT @SpaghettiKozak: To borrow a quote from my friend @JimmySecUK , the truly funny thing about the whole Ragozin deportation saga is...everything. Everything about it is funny.

The truly funny thing about the whole Ragozin deportation saga is that his dumbass friends genuinely believed that his pro-Russian propaganda was so subtle that nobody could notice it, right up until he was deported.

And they are even more stunned by how few are defending him.
