The housing program Hezbollah rolled out this week will cost between $600 million and $800 million, sources close to the group told Lebanon's Annahar newspaper. Executive Council head Ali Daamoush deliberately kept the total out of his Tuesday press conference.

The plan pays up to $14,000 to families who lost homes in Beirut and its southern suburbs, and $12,000 to those elsewhere in Lebanon. Each payment includes $8,000 for furniture, with the remainder going to rent.

Iran sent Hezbollah $200 million to help the displaced, Reuters reported last week. The U.S. disputes that the transfer happened.

Obama on Israel:

"The fact is that the Jewish people, for millennia, were oppressed, discriminated against, killed. Europe was responsible for much of it. They understandably sought a refuge.

That is undeniable. What is also undeniable is that they took land off people, and they were excessive.

And those people understandably said, 'This is injustice, and I want my land back.'"

Obama, speaking in Northern Ireland this week:

Obama on Israel:

"If the attitude of Israel is, 'Now that we are the strongest, the most technologically advanced in the region, then our security will depend on us simply doing whatever we need and taking whatever we want, and not making any concessions to anyone,' that may work short-term.

But you have ceded moral ground if that is the position you take."

RT @NSTRIKE1231: BREAKING | 🇺🇦🇷🇺‼️ Ukraine has lifted its suspension of strikes on Russian oil refineries, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, opening the door to renewed long-range attacks against Russia’s energy infrastructure.

Asked by a Financial Times journalist how much longer Ukraine would refrain from attacking Russian refineries, Zelensky responded: “It’s over. The restriction has been lifted.” He explained that he had discussed the matter with Ukraine’s military leadership that evening after another large-scale Russian attack killed civilians earlier in the day. His remarks signal an end to Kyiv’s temporary restraint, although he did not specify when new operations would take place.

🔥 The decision marks a significant shift in Ukraine’s response to continued Russian attacks. Kyiv had temporarily restrained its strikes on Russian energy facilities, but Moscow’s continued bombardment has undermined the basis for that restraint. Renewed Ukrainian attacks on refineries could disrupt Russia’s fuel production, increase economic pressure on Moscow and reinforce Kyiv’s position that any de-escalation must be reciprocal rather than imposed on Ukraine alone.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine struck a Russian airfield in the Voronezh region overnight, destroying four Su-34 fighter bombers and damaging two more, releasing an aerial photo showing burn scars on an airport ramp. He said the aircraft were loaded with bombs and ready for new attacks on Ukraine. The strike used an R-360 "Long Neptune" missile, and Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian Navy. The Navy named the target as Borisoglebsk airfield and said six Su-34Ms were destroyed, along with aviation support equipment.

Zelensky also said Ukraine hit a drone storage and launch site in the Oryol region and a target in the Black Sea. He said long range operations will continue because Russia is prolonging the war.

The Su-34 is one of the key aircraft Russia uses to launch guided glide bombs at Ukrainian positions and frontline towns.

RT @NOELreports: DniproOsint clarified with close-up satellite footage that indeed 6 Russian Su-34 bombers were hit. Four were at the center of the impact area of the missile(s) while another two likely sustained debris/blast damage. #Russia https://twitter.com/NOELreports/status/2110686163367539097/photo/1

❗️❗️AviVector says satellite imagery from Borisoglebsk airbase indicates at least four Russian Su-34s were likely destroyed in Ukraine’s overnight Neptune missile strike. Ukraine’s Navy earlier claimed six Su-34Ms were destroyed, while the imagery now appears to support losses of at least four aircraft. #Ukraine

RT @BrettErickson28: TRUMP’S MIDTERM DESPERATION ANALYSIS:

Just in the last week, we have seen President Trump become increasingly desperate to in the lead-up to the U.S. midterms, and this has been reflected in how he is approaching short-term, bass akwards measures to temporarily blunt gasoline and diesel prices in the United States.

Just this morning, it was reported by Reuters that Energy Secretary Wright floated at a Gulf conference that the United States was looking at potentially unsanctioning Shadow Fleet vessels. This is in an attempt to address the through-the-roof shipping coasts right now that are directly impacting pain at the pump.

Beyond this, we have seen the considerations of a diesel export ban and dyed-diesel measures, alongside Europe being strong-armed into releasing further emergency reserves despite that likely being actively detrimental to their own security in advance of a winter that will likely see extreme U.S./Iran and Saudi/Yemen escalation against energy infrastructure and available supply.

Even yesterday, it was reported by the Financial Times that the Trump Administration had broached the idea of unfreezing Russian assets in the EU in an attempt to entice Putin to the negotiating table for an end, or temporary cessation, of the Russia/Ukraine War. Speaking of Russia, the United States also authorized General License 135 that allowed for the purchasing of Russian diesel in yet another example of desperation.

When the Trump Administration reaches the point of unsanctioning Russian diesel, potentially unsanctioning Shadow Fleet vessels tied to Iran, and torching international relations to get a front-loaded, pre-midterm emergency release of European strategic reserves…

This isn’t about Trump caring about Americans pain at the pump. He has made it VERY clear multiple times that he does not care about that. “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” he says. He doesn’t care if you pay more at the pump and suffer financially from it…

He just doesn’t want it to sink HIM at the midterms. So he’ll pull desperately out of the bag of bass akwards tricks in order to provide short-term relief at the expense of medium and long-term strategy.

This is the Donald Show. We’re just mere pawns to be manipulated into saving him at the midterms.
