RT @michaeldweiss: I’d call this damage control but there’s more damage to come.

I spoke with Marco Rubio @SecRubio, and it was a substantive conversation – focused on the issues that matter. I am grateful for his readiness to help and his clear position. First, ballistic missile interceptors, which are needed to protect lives. Second, early warning of Russian ballistic missile attacks, which is vital. Third, the situation with Starlink/Starshield, which needs to be restored. Of course, all of this comes against the backdrop of our diplomatic efforts to end this horrific war and the constant killing of people. We agreed to get in touch again soon for an update. Thank you, Marco, for the constructive discussion! Thank you to everyone in America who supports fair approaches!

BIG | 🇺🇸🇮🇷🇶🇦🇵🇰‼️‼️ Qatar and Pakistan have reportedly developed a new compromise proposal to restart negotiations between the United States and Iran, with both Washington and Tehran said to have given preliminary approval amid growing concerns over further military escalation.

According to reports published on October 20, the proposal offers partial concessions to both sides. One provision would allow Iran to receive interest accrued on approximately $6 billion in Iranian funds frozen in Qatari banks. Another reportedly involves Tehran agreeing to confidential, unannounced inspections of its nuclear facilities by representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Pakistani Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir reportedly presented the proposal to Iranian officials during a visit to Tehran. Sources familiar with the negotiations claim both governments have expressed initial approval, although neither Washington nor Tehran has officially announced a final agreement.

The initiative represents a potentially important diplomatic opportunity to reduce tensions between Washington and Tehran without further military confrontation. Limited financial relief could provide Iran with an incentive to return to negotiations, while expanded nuclear inspections could address American concerns about Tehran’s nuclear activities. The central challenge will be turning preliminary understandings into a verifiable agreement that both governments are prepared to implement, particularly as regional military tensions remain elevated.

RT @Osint613: U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack says Iran is “not an evil regime,” describing the Twelver Shia theocracy established in 1979 as a religious system deserving respect.

“That’s a religious content and practice that we all respect.”

Barrack instead singled out the IRGC, saying it “has become an adversary” and that its confrontation with Israel “has been a problem.”

BIG | 🇪🇺🇷🇺🇨🇳‼️‼️ The European Union has unveiled a new Arctic security strategy aimed at strengthening its defensive capabilities in response to Russia’s military activities and China’s growing strategic presence in the region.

The strategy outlines plans to expand satellite surveillance, strengthen the protection of undersea communication cables, and improve the ability to move military personnel and equipment across the Arctic. The EU is also considering joint purchases of icebreaker vessels to increase operational capabilities in the region’s challenging conditions. Additionally, approximately €260 million from the European Defence Fund is expected to support the development of military technologies designed to operate in extreme climates.

The initiative reflects the Arctic’s growing importance to European security, particularly as Russia maintains substantial military infrastructure in its northern territories and China seeks a larger role in regional affairs. Improved surveillance, resilient underwater infrastructure, and greater mobility could help European countries detect threats earlier and respond more effectively. Strengthening these capabilities would also support NATO’s northern defenses, especially around strategically important maritime routes connecting the Arctic and North Atlantic.

BIG | 🇮🇷🇺🇦🇮🇶‼️‼️ Iranian media claims that Ukraine has established covert operational networks and deployed thousands of microdrones in countries neighboring Iran, including Iraq’s Kurdistan region.

According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, an unnamed security source alleges that Ukrainian operators have positioned thousands of microdrones in Iraqi Kurdistan as part of a broader network operating near Iranian territory. The source did not identify the other countries allegedly involved or provide independently verifiable evidence of the deployments. Tasnim also referred to an incident in the summer of 2025, when police in Sulaymaniyah announced the detention of three Ukrainian nationals accused of organizing small-drone training for members of a local group. The reported detentions do not independently establish the existence of the wider network alleged by the Iranian source.

The allegations highlight growing concerns in Tehran about the potential spread of Ukrainian drone expertise beyond the war with Russia. Ukraine has developed extensive operational experience with small unmanned aircraft, making such capabilities strategically relevant to other regional conflicts. However, the existence of a Ukrainian-directed network targeting Iran remains unverified, and the claims should be viewed in the context of Tehran’s broader security confrontation with Ukraine’s Western partners.

"I don't want a confrontation with Türkiye. Türkiye wants a confrontation with us. Erdogan says that Israel should be destroyed, that Jerusalem is their city.

He thinks he'll come back to the Ottoman Empire. He forgets there's a country here that we've been attached to for over 3,000 years.

We're not in the 16th century when the Ottomans took over here and ruled it for 400 years.

There's this power here. It's called the Jewish state in the Jewish homeland."
