During the meeting with Witkoff, Putin added that in addition to diesel, Russia could also supply fertilizers to the United States. This is also a manipulation targeted at American farmers, whose support Trump is losing as well.
So, are we to expect new exemptions from US sanctions?

According to U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Stephen Hubbard, a 74 year old U.S. citizen living in Ukraine, who was taken from his home by Russian soldiers when Izium, Ukraine fell, was released by Russia and is on his way home. Per the president, nothing was given to Russia by the U.S. in order to secure his release, but minutes later the president claimed that the sanctions waivers given to Russia were implemented to ensure Hubbard’s release, directly contradicting his prior statements.

Analyst Comment:
It should be noted that, despite President Trump’s statements to the contrary, it’s unlikely that Hubbard’s release was the driver for the implementation of sanctions waivers, instead being the administration’s wider efforts to alleviate the oil and gas markets from the conflict in the Middle East

RT @NSTRIKE1231: BIG | 🇷🇺‼️ A Russian Su-30SM multirole fighter jet has crashed in Russia’s Kaliningrad region. Both crew members reportedly managed to eject before the aircraft went down.

The circumstances of the crash remain unclear, and there is no confirmed information yet about what caused the aircraft to go down. The Su-30SM is a twin-engine, two-seat fighter used by Russia for air superiority and strike missions.

🔥 Losing a Su-30SM is another costly setback for Russia’s military aviation. Kaliningrad is one of Moscow’s most strategically important military outposts, positioned between NATO members Poland and Lithuania. The loss of a combat aircraft in such a heavily militarized region raises further questions about the operational reliability of Russia’s air fleet, although the cause of this particular crash has yet to be established.

It seems necessary to remind everyone that just two days ago, the Russians killed teacher Inna Maryukhina and her one-year-old daughter Angelina in the village of Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv region.

RT @NSTRIKE1231: BIG | 🇺🇦🇳🇴‼️ Ukraine and Norway plan to test the new FREYJA missile defense system before the end of 2026, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced following talks with Norwegian Defense Minister Tore Sandvik and executives from Kongsberg, the company behind NASAMS.

Zelensky said the two countries have already achieved initial results in developing components of the European air defense system and identified areas where work needs to move faster. Ukraine also expects additional Norwegian defense assistance packages in November. The talks covered another critical issue for Kyiv, developing new satellite communication capabilities for the Ukrainian Armed Forces with support from international partners.

🔥 Ukraine is working to reduce two major vulnerabilities at once. Russia’s continued missile attacks have exposed the need for more reliable air defenses, while recent uncertainty surrounding satellite services has shown the risks of depending too heavily on individual providers. Developing FREYJA alongside alternative military communications would give Kyiv greater control over capabilities essential to its defense. Norway’s involvement, particularly through Kongsberg’s experience with NASAMS, makes this cooperation strategically significant.
