RT @olegkutkov: There's been a lot of discussion about @Starlink in Ukraine today.
Here's what I can tell you: Starlink is working. No one has cut off connectivity, and standard service plans remain unchanged.
Here are the stats from my car-mounted Starlink Mini during my morning drive today. These measurements were taken while moving through the city, with plenty of obstructions, so don't pay too much attention to the occasional signal drops.
As for the Starshield service plan and the reported speed limitations, I can neither confirm nor deny anything at this point. I'd suggest waiting for official statements rather than fueling premature panic or accusations of betrayal.
Most Starlink terminals in Ukraine operate on standard service plans, and nothing has changed for them. I can confirm that.
I don't believe anyone will cut off this service. The consequences of such a decision would be catastrophic, and not primarily for Ukraine. I've written about this before.
I know many people at @SpaceX, and they're great people. Of course, sometimes even good people can't override decisions made by management.
I think this is just a difficult phase that we need to get through calmly, without jumping to conclusions.

BIG | 🇺🇸🇮🇷‼️‼️ U.S. military airlift activity across the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East has reportedly surged, raising questions about whether Washington is preparing for another round of military operations against Iran.
Flight-tracking data attributed to Flightradar24 indicates that American military cargo flights have increased by approximately 80% compared with August. C-17 Globemaster III aircraft account for most of the movements, while activity involving the larger C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft has reportedly doubled. The accompanying flight map shows military aircraft movements recorded during the past 24 hours, reflecting a broader increase in activity over the last two weeks.
The reported buildup could indicate efforts to replenish ammunition, reposition equipment and strengthen American forces across the region. Such logistical preparations would be important for any renewed campaign against Iran, although increased transport activity alone does not confirm that Washington has decided to resume military strikes.

Reminder that declaring private individuals (non-diplomats) persona non grata is a rare, absurd practice utilized only by a few repressive, autocratic states. It is the antithesis of the rule of law. It is rogue behavior. For Leonid and others like him, it is heartbreaking. - Almut Rochowanskitweet

IDF Radio: Following the government's approval of the budget earlier today, Israel and the U.S. Pentagon have signed a deal for the purchase of 12 Boeing AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for the Israeli Air Force.
The helicopters, the latest and most advanced variant of the Apache, are expected to be delivered early next decade.

Israel's government approved nearly NIS 1 billion, over $300 million, in an emergency telephone vote to fund the Defense Ministry's urgent purchase of 12 Apache helicopters. The vote came after concerns of a $1 billion Boeing deadline had been missed. The U.S. State Department has already approved a potential sale of AH-64E Apaches to Israel. - Open Source Inteltweet

RT @igornovikov: I confirm that tonight SpaceX introduced a speed restriction on Starlink terminals while in motion.
At present, the restriction applies to the StarShield “military package” and is set at 100 miles per hour.
Our Defense Forces received no prior warning about this limitation, which resulted in the disruption of a number of missions.
Obviously, this cannot be a coincidence and is connected to the current political situation.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni:
“Supporting Ukraine is not an alternative to peace. It is what makes peace possible in the first place.
For if an aggressor can work towards their opponent’s capitulation, why should they negotiate?
If Ukraine were to stop defending itself tomorrow—as many hope and suggest—we would not have peace.
We would be discussing the occupation of a European state and the return of a Soviet-style imperialism—the kind Europe suffered under for half a century.” - Jürgen Nauditt 🇩🇪🇺🇦tweet

BIG | 🇮🇹🇷🇺🇺🇦‼️‼️ Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has accused Vladimir Putin of deliberately provoking Europe to divert attention from Russia’s war in Ukraine, while warning against decisions that could weaken sanctions and help finance Moscow’s military campaign.
Meloni said Putin was seeking a new enemy as the war in Ukraine continued, potentially turning Europe into his next target. She urged European countries to remain vigilant without allowing Moscow to dictate their response. The Italian leader also criticized a decision concerning Russian diesel, warning that its potential consequences include legitimizing Moscow while Russian bombs continue falling on Ukrainian cities, providing additional funding for the war and undermining existing sanctions.
Meloni’s remarks highlight growing concerns over Russia’s attempts to increase pressure on Europe while continuing its invasion of Ukraine. Her criticism also underscores the strategic risks of easing economic restrictions on Moscow, particularly when Western sanctions are intended to limit Russia’s war financing and strengthen diplomatic pressure on the Kremlin.

BREAKING | 🇧🇬🇺🇦📡‼️ Eleven of 17 Starlink antennas reportedly used to support communications with Ukraine have been destroyed by fire in Bulgaria, raising serious concerns about possible sabotage targeting critical communications infrastructure.
Ivaylo Mirchev, a representative of the Yes, Bulgaria party, has accused Bulgarian authorities of concealing the suspected sabotage and the country’s security services of failing to prevent it. A similar incident was reported in Poland just weeks earlier, where a Starlink facility supporting communications with Ukraine was also reportedly set on fire.
Ukrainian frontline Starlink terminals receive signals directly from satellites, meaning attacks on European ground infrastructure do not automatically disable individual military terminals. However, damage to supporting network infrastructure could affect broader connectivity and network resilience. The incidents raise concerns about a possible pattern of hybrid warfare aimed at disrupting communications systems and infrastructure supporting Ukraine, although responsibility and coordination have not been established.
