RT @McFaul: Zelensky has been ready to talk to Putin directly for years. Putin keeps refusing.
Ukrainian soldiers keep fighting because, if they dont, Russian soldiers will march to Kyiv and kill even more Ukrainians on the way and once they get there. Capitulation is not a rational option.
Putin could end this war in a heartbeat. Declare victory and keep the territory that Russian soldiers now occupy. Zelenskyy would reluctantly but certainly accept that.

"I said to my military people that during the energy ceasefire, we would not attack Russian refineries or anything connected with diesel.
Because even if we are right, and we are right, somebody will say that we broke the energy ceasefire. I don't want to play this game.
That's why, for three days, we didn't attack any of Russia's energy or diesel infrastructure.
And for three days, they attacked us."

Zelensky on the U.S. intelligence cutoff:
The message to Kyiv was "don't attack, because maybe you will have problems with intelligence." At the military level, before that, the warning was explicit: if Ukraine did not stop, intelligence would be blocked.
Washington later framed it as "technological problems at some level."
"When it comes together with Starlink's decision, which was 100% a decision of the American side, it creates huge problems."

"The question is: Can you give me missiles for Patriot?
Because when I don't attack them, because you asked me not to attack them, they will attack me.
It's fair if you give me something with which to defend myself. That's the minimum I'm asking for.
And when I'm asking this, your answer is blocking Starlink."

RT @SenThomTillis: The latest reporting suggests this strategic snafu may have occurred more locally within DOD Starshield systems, not with Starlink or SpaceX.
I’m not holding my breath for Defense Secretary Hegseth to offer transparency, so we’ll be asking the DOD Inspector General to initiate an investigation and report back to Congress and the American People.
Meanwhile, both Ukrainian civilians and U.S. diplomatic and security personnel were placed at unnecessary risk and without warning.
At best, this was an unacceptable error or lapse, and at worst a conscience decision to clear the field for a Russian attack.

.@elonmusk please tell me these overnight disruptions to Starlink terminals in Ukraine were unintended - that @SpaceX is doing everything it can to fix a temporary glitch.
I'm confident this does not reflect a change in SpaceX policy because if so, intentionally degrading Ukraine's ability to defend itself might be construed as aiding and abetting a mass murderer. Can you confirm that's not SpaceX’s intent?
Ukrainians simply want to live in peace. They did not ask Putin to bomb their homes, schools and hospitals. They do not want Putin to kidnap and brainwash their children. They are not interested in destroying energy infrastructure - in Ukraine or in Russia. They only want to defend their country and live their lives.
Supporting Ukrainian sovereignty - or at the very least, allowing for it - should not be a gray area for the U.S. government or for American corporations. Can you clarify the SpaceX position?

CNN Report: U.S. officials familiar with internal planning say the military has drawn up new strike options against Iranian nuclear sites and energy infrastructure that include the GBU-43/B MOAB, the largest non-nuclear bomb in the American arsenal. The plans await an order from President Trump to resume combat operations, which could come before or after the midterm elections. Several of the same officials questioned how much the weapon would actually change the course of the war.

North Korea test-fired two types of submarine-launched cruise missiles from a submerged submarine in the Sea of Japan. One was launched from a vertical launch system, the other from a torpedo tube. It was the first weapons test from the Hero Kim Kun Ok, the country's largest submarine, commissioned in 2023. South Korea's military tracked both launches from start to finish.
