Unconscionable

EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph.

The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries.

‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement.

But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe.

The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown.

‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.

RT @NSTRIKE1231: BIG | 🇺🇸🇪🇺🇷🇺‼️ NATO’s top military commander in Europe says Russia cannot match the alliance’s advanced air and naval capabilities and is more likely to threaten European countries through sabotage than a full-scale invasion.

Speaking to Der Spiegel, Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Alexus Grynkewich emphasized that Russia has no fighter aircraft equivalent to the F-35 and lacks sufficient numbers of modern destroyers and submarines to compete with NATO. He argued that Moscow is unlikely to launch a full-scale military assault on Europe, instead relying on sabotage and other unconventional methods. Grynkewich also described an attempted sabotage operation at Leipzig Airport as crossing a dangerous threshold, warning that lives could have been lost had it succeeded.

🔥 The assessment highlights a critical distinction between Russia’s conventional military limitations and its ability to destabilize European security through covert operations. NATO’s technological and numerical advantages in key military domains may deter direct confrontation, but they do not eliminate threats to civilian infrastructure. Countering sabotage, protecting transport networks and strengthening internal security are therefore essential parts of Europe’s defense.

RT @InsiderGeo: UPDATE | RUSSIA / UKRAINE 🇷🇺🇺🇦

Putin says Russia's planned “security zone” inside Ukrainian territory will not be open to negotiation in any future peace talks with Kyiv.

Speaking during a visit to a military command post, Putin said Russian forces had been tasked with establishing the buffer zone following Ukraine's 2024–2025 incursion into the Kursk region.

He presented the operation as necessary to protect Russia's border regions and said Moscow does not intend to negotiate over it.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claims the planned zone extends along 660 km of the border, with approximately 70% already under Russian control.

Russia is effectively declaring that part of Ukrainian territory should remain under its military control regardless of future negotiations.

That does not amount to formal annexation, but it introduces another territorial demand into an already difficult diplomatic process.

RT @NSTRIKE1231: BREAKING | 🇺🇸🇺🇦‼️ Donald Trump has denied ordering restrictions on Ukraine’s military access to Starlink, distancing himself from a controversial decision previously linked to the White House.

Asked who was responsible for limiting Ukrainian military satellite communications, the U.S. president said: “I don’t know who it could have been, but it wasn’t me, and I don’t think it was Elon Musk.” His remarks follow a Reuters report that an order to restrict Ukraine’s access to the military satellite communications system Starshield originated from the White House. The conflicting accounts leave unanswered questions about who authorized the restrictions and why.

🔥 Trump’s denial comes amid mounting political scrutiny over decisions affecting Ukraine’s battlefield communications. With Republican lawmakers also threatening consequences for federal agencies involved in restricting access, the controversy could create additional pressure on the administration to clarify its role. The central issue remains whether Ukraine’s military communications were deliberately constrained at a critical moment in its defense against Russia.

RT @NSTRIKE1231: BIG | 🇺🇦🇷🇺‼️ A Ukrainian drone strike has forced Russia’s Ryazan oil refinery to shut down one of its main crude oil processing units, dealing another blow to the country’s fuel production infrastructure.

According to Reuters, the refinery suspended operations at its AVT-6 (CDU-6) crude distillation unit following a Ukrainian drone attack early this morning. Sources also reported damage to several pipelines at the facility. The Ryazan refinery has a total processing capacity of approximately 340,000 barrels of crude oil per day and is an important supplier of fuel to Moscow. The extent of the resulting reduction in overall refinery output has not yet been specified.

🔥 Disabling a major processing unit at Ryazan could disrupt fuel production and place additional pressure on Russia’s domestic supply network. Because the refinery serves Moscow, prolonged repairs could have consequences beyond the immediate facility. The strike also demonstrates Ukraine’s ability to target economically important energy infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.
