RT @NXT4EU: Americans truly do not realise just how many cars Europe sells and how big of a deal it is Europe is finally embracing new tech for mass production.
The impressive part will be the industrial scaleup of cheap electric cars.

Tesla's roadster flying makes many think "Why is Europe so behind?"
Well..
Citroën has announced the 2CV electric, a €15.000 car build for the masses.
Europe is returning to its roots of mass producing for its ordinary citizens.
Like Elon said "a model is easy, manufacturing is hard"
Europe has in recent history focussed on ever more expensive cars, but the tide is turning.
Sub €20k electric cars will save the European car industry, and with it manufacturing in Europe as we know it.
If Citroën succeeds in mass-manufacturing of the new 2CV, it will mark a return of Europe's tradition of "people's cars" and it might become one of the most sold car in the world, ever.
Something Tesla has not achieved, their cars have not been dropping in price anymore, and instead they now focus on luxury gimmicks.
So the roles are in fact changing, while Tesla first prided itself on bringing electric cars to the masses, and Europe bringing out luxury cars, Europe has now embraced the mission Tesla couldn't succeed with:
Make Electric cars the standard. - NXT EUtweet

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commander Admiral Brad Cooper has issued an update on operations against Iran. Adm. Cooper says the U.S. naval blockade has denied Iran at least $25 billion in oil revenue and that, apart from humanitarian assistance, Iran has no imports or exports by sea. He says about 400 ships have transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past seven days, and that U.S. forces have helped Gulf partners ship more than 100 million barrels of oil. Cooper also said U.S. efforts have helped freeze about $350 million in Iranian cryptocurrency, and that more than 20 civilian mariners have been killed by Iranian attacks on shipping since February.
The update comes as Iran continues to target vessels. Windward counted at least 23 attacks on commercial ships in and around the strait in the two weeks ending October 14, and Iran claims control of the area.

Army Chief of Staff General Randy George warned in late December, two months before the Iran war began, that the Army was critically short on missile defense munitions and that the shortage would last until 2030, according to multiple U.S. officials who spoke to CBS News. The Pentagon says claims of munitions shortages are “false.”
The warning was a risk analysis in the Pentagon’s Global Force Management Allocation Plan for fiscal 2027, which sets where troops and weapons go worldwide, the officials said. They said THAAD and Patriot interceptors would stay strategically low, citing Patriot transfers to Ukraine, munitions used to defend Israel during the 12 Day War and reduced industrial capacity. CBS withheld the exact percentages for security reasons. Gen. George declined to comment.
Officials told CBS the U.S. still holds a significant stock of offensive munitions, such as JDAMs and Small Diameter Bombs, but missile defense interceptors are low. One said even with no further use, restoring the already low December 2025 levels would take until 2030.
Outside estimates from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), cited by CBS, suggest the war used up to 61% of about 2,300 prewar Patriot interceptors and up to 82% of about 355 THAAD interceptors. CSIS said fewer than 500 Patriot replacements were expected in fiscal 2026 and no THAAD deliveries. The U.S. has requested more than 800 THAADs for fiscal 2027, and Lockheed announced in January a plan to raise THAAD capacity from 96 to 400 a year.
Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said the U.S. has “everything required to strike at the time and place of the President’s choosing.”

New from @CBSNews - In Dec. 2025, two months before the U.S. war with Iran began, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George wrote an assessment into the DoD's Global Force Management Allocation Plan that they would be critically short on missile defense munitions until 2030. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ousted George in April, as the Iran war was underway. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/randy-george-missile-defense-shortage-iran-china - Jim LaPortatweet
