RT @NSTRIKE1231: BIG | 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹🇫🇮🇷🇺‼️ Russian opposition figure and former world chess champion Garry Kasparov has warned that a limited Russian attack on NATO territory could expose serious divisions within Europe, questioning whether Baltic and Finnish forces would strike only invading troops or also Russian military bases supporting the offensive.

“If Russian troops cross the border near Narva, Estonia, will the Baltic states and Finland strike only those troops, or also the Russian bases from which the aggression is launched?” Kasparov asked.

He argued that Poland, the Baltic states and Nordic countries perceive the Russian threat fundamentally differently from countries farther west, particularly Germany.

According to Kasparov, an attack somewhere between Narva and Daugavpils should no longer be treated as an unimaginable scenario. He suggested that Moscow could attempt a limited provocation designed to test NATO’s cohesion and decision-making.

Kasparov also criticized European leaders for avoiding explicit declarations that Ukraine must win and Russia must lose. He argued that European societies remain psychologically unprepared for the intensity of attacks Ukrainians endure.

He connected Russia’s current confrontation with Europe to Putin’s 2007 Munich speech and Moscow’s 2021 demands concerning NATO’s military posture, accusing European governments of postponing difficult strategic decisions.

🔥 Kasparov’s warning raises a central question for NATO deterrence: whether European allies have sufficiently coordinated their military responses to a limited Russian incursion. His assessment is a warning rather than evidence that an attack is imminent. Nevertheless, credible deterrence depends on clear defense planning, political coordination and the ability to respond rapidly without allowing Moscow to exploit disagreements among allies.

NORTH KOREA WEIGHS NEW MILITARY MEASURES ALONG THE DMZ:

Kim Yo Jong says North Korea is reviewing plans to resume loudspeaker broadcasts toward South Korea and deploy additional tactical weapons along the border.

The plans raise the possibility of reinforcing direct and close-range firepower at frontline units adjacent to the DMZ, potentially increasing the risk of a localized clash.

Pyongyang cites repeated South Korean loudspeaker warnings and warning shots at North Korean personnel working on border fortifications. No timeline has been announced.

The Arab League, which represents 22 Arab states and entities, has designated October 17 as a day of remembrance for victims of what it calls Israel's "genocide" in Gaza. The date marks the 2023 blast at Gaza City's Al-Ahli (Al-Ma'amdani) hospital, which the bloc continues to blame on Israel despite extensive evidence the rocket was launched by terror groups in Gaza. Senior Hamas official Bassem Naim welcomed the decision, calling it a step to protect the memory of the victims and a basis for international action to prosecute war criminals.

RT @RepBrianFitz: I will be speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team this week to discuss Starshield, sanctions, and other matters pertaining to the defense of our strong ally, Ukraine. I will be assuring President Zelenskyy that anyone who attempts to limit the use of Starshield for Ukraine will be fully investigated and will be held fully accountable, to include public congressional oversight hearings, and immediate harsh and punitive budget cuts to any responsible agency or agency head.

Congress will unequivocally reaffirm that Ukraine is an indispensable ally to the United States, that Russia is a self-declared enemy of the United States, and that the United States will 100% support and defend the people of Ukraine in their fight for their own freedom against this brutal, illegal, and unprovoked Russian invasion.

The United States must provide any and all defensive equipment that Ukraine needs to defend itself. The United States must not import a single drop of Russian oil. Sanctions against the Russian regime must be harsher and stronger than they’ve ever been before. Each and every one of these items will be brought to the House Floor—and each and every one of these items will pass on the House Floor by an overwhelming margin.

This is, after all, what Ronald Reagan would do. And this is what we will do now. Ukraine can, and will, defeat Russia. #PeaceThroughStrength

Egypt's parliament pushed its vote on authorizing Sisi to send military support to Saudi Arabia to October 26.

Most lawmakers backed the move in closed emergency sessions Sunday and Monday, though some wanted more detail on the army's role. A two-thirds majority is required under the constitution.

Sisi says any deployment would be defensive and only on a Saudi request. Riyadh has not made one publicly.
