UPDATE: A U.S. official has denied reports that American forces attacked Iran's Konarak naval base, in an interview with CNN.
A spokesman for the Iranian Navy claims to Al-Jazeera that two projectiles launched by American forces hit a 35mm cannon at Konorak Naval Base last night.
Two Islamic Republic of Iran Navy personnel were injured, according to the same spokesman. CENTCOM has yet to confirm responsibility.
September 1 was the last time the U.S. military struck targets on Iranian soil, nearly two months ago. An IRGC response is possible. tweet

The Saudi-led coalition has warned against the use of traditional maritime vessels by Houthi militias to smuggle weapons, missiles and military equipment by sea. Its Joint Forces Command called on all vessel owners to avoid any dealings with the group.
A coalition source separately told Al Jazeera that a smuggled weapons shipment was intercepted and destroyed as it reached the Yemeni coast.

Syria is concerned that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could order military moves inside the country to gain ground in Israel's election campaign, a well-informed source in Damascus told Kan News this evening.
"The elections appear to be decisive, and Netanyahu may carry out an extraordinary operation in Syria," the source said.
From the Syrian view the worry has basis. At a recent event hosted by the Druze community, Netanyahu revealed a tense phone call he held last summer with Syrian President al-Sharaa in an effort to halt the massacre of Druze in the Jabal al-Druze region of southern Syria. A Syrian government official then briefed official media that Damascus firmly rejects Netanyahu's attempt to drag the country's Druze community into Israel's election campaign.
Damascus is watching the Israeli campaign closely, with hopes that Israeli policy toward Syria shifts once the vote is over, alongside fears over what happens before it.
