I tell you when I win and when I lose. Back 5 years ago I got a GenASun golf cart battery charger. it's claim to fame is that it boosts the voltage of a single solar panel from 35v to 55v for charging 48v batteries from ~250w panels. I've lost two of them in the past year. One was covered by warranty, but I think this one is out of warranty. Last year lighting struck 300ft from the golf cart and the EMP zapped this thing. Lighting last weekend struck 2500ft away and seems to have zapped it the same way.

If you go with that again if you are certain it was EMP I would shield and ground the shit out of it. Fuggin lightening. I would also see about some lightening rods for prevention.
I have had lightening hit my fireplace and arc into my living room but the electronics were never bothered. Hell I was in a water bed in this house and was in the path of one strike. I was a little singed but the electronics were fine.

Why have you own water well?
At least 12 states have reported cyberattacks targeting drinking water and wastewater utilities, with officials investigating whether Iranian-linked hackers were behind some of the incidents. Authorities say drinking water was not contaminated, though some Minnesota residents experienced low-pressure water flow or received boil water notices.
The attacks targeted internet-connected control systems used to manage pumps, wells, valves, and water pressure rather than the water itself. More than 30 systems in Minnesota and nine in Michigan have reported compromises, while utilities in at least 10 other states have also been affected. Officials say hackers changed passwords, altered network settings, and temporarily locked operators out of control systems, but built-in safeguards and manual operations prevented contamination. Iranian-linked groups have previously targeted US water facilities and other US organizations.

Just watched this summary... the FFA 1934 was passed under the commerce clause and required taxation on specified firearms. The court in Northern district of Texas has just said that since congress reduced the taxes to $0 a few years ago, then the law no long has anything to do with tax generation and must be stricken.
Unrelated to this but relevant is that a few years ago a man was convicted of defacing serial numbers on a gun. That court ruled that the enforcement of a law requiring a serial number was solely for commerce and once a transaction was complete, ownership did not require a serial number.
Being honest here... I never occurred to me that FFA34 was a commerce scheme but in hindsight it makes perfect sense. Since the 2nd Amendment is so strong, they couldn't pass a law restricting it, so they passed a law knocking the legs out from under it.

Here's some cool stuff you can do with home assistant or an emporia Vue. I've polling production data from each of my solar MPPTs and also have some Shelly PM1 power measurement devices measuring various things around the house like the water pump and water heater.
Being able to see usage helps you know 1)how much solar, 2)how much inverter, 3)how much battery.
You can do the same with an Emporia Vue device for $150.
