My sister was discussing building a barndo with 12ft walls that will be 40ft x 96ft long. It will have a partition wall in between the house and garage.

I'm running the ICF estimator and looks like about $20,000 for blocks and $14,000 for concrete. So $34,000 worth of walls with insulation.

If you do that in wood you have to do sheathing, studs, insulation, vapor barrier and will still have an inferior wall.

meshcore trick of the day: discovering what region names are in use around you.

Click three dots in top right to get a menu... click tools.. click discover regions

Now you can add them to your companion by clicking "add".

There's a reason for this.... continued.
Now that you have a list of regions supported by your local repeaters, you can confine your chats to a specific area. We chat here in Florence SC but there's no need for those messages to spam NC and TN.

See here the #flocoregroup has an arrow pointing to "flo"?
The next trick up my sleeve is that you can create an unencrypted chatroom called a hashtag channel. Anyone can join by simply spelling it the same way you did. Even better, I can send the #flocoregroup name in a text message and meshcore sees that as a clickable link.

Encrypted group chats still exist and all private messages between two people are encrypted.

If you need LFP batteries, I dont know if you'll beat this price. These are the double capcity cells and a JK BMS.

Good news today!
After contacting the Better Business Bureau, a lawyer and the company above the local offices of West Shore Home I got a call from West Shore Home by a new desk jockey stating they are going to rip out everything and replace it all properly.
But! They will not raise the vanity because they did not install it.
So now I am waiting for a call from the installation manager to discuss lowering the floor or raising the vanity.

The ESP32 based mesh hardware have wifi built in. While they are not energy efficient enough for daily battery use, they do make good home nodes. As an example, tonight I flashed one of my Heltech V3 units to become a "weather bug". It is transmitting weather alerts for all counties in the North eastern corner of South Carolina. It simply plugs into a USB power port and connects to teh NWS via wifi and relays messages to the South Carolina region for Florence.

meshwxpro is the name of the firmware. It can be programmed to send alerts over meshcore or meshtastic.
