We strongly encourage everyone to take note of your expiration and create a reminder to renew outside of Opacity. Since we don't collect your personal information, we are unable to send you a reminder outside the application. The expiration date is found in the top right of the dashboard when you login.

During the recent update, we discovered an additional system component that requires an update in order to allow limited access to expired accounts after expiration. In order to facilitate this update, we are imposing a downtime starting at 7pm US EST. This is to prevent complete loss of access for any expired accounts that do not renew prior to the actual expiration date.

Hey all, quick update regarding recent metadata issues and some people missing files after renewing accounts.
We believe account renewals may contain silent failures in certain cases, causing some accounts to expire after the 2 month grace window we created for expired accounts even though they appeared to be renewed. Tonight, we will set all metadata to expire 14 months from now and we will work on improving our renew endpoint to better respond in the event of a failure so that this won't happen again. There will be downtime tonight while we run the update.
In the meantime, anyone that has renewed an account in the past 2 months should maintain a backup just in case this remains an issue.
Additionally, for those that have experienced this issue, we will attempt to restore recent backups that should still retain access to your data. I will post a follow-up when we restore each backup so that those affected can attempt to access their accounts to download their files. Once accessed, the suggestion is to create a new account rather than continue to use the same one. We have also extended the retention time of our backups to be able to restore accounts in case of further issues.

Timeline provided by Kucoin:
1. KuCoin will close the trading service for the OPQ/BTC and OPQ/ETH trading pairs at 18:00:00 on October 26, 2020 (UTC+8).
2. To complete the upgrade, KuCoin will take snapshots of users’ OPQ assets at 18:00:00 on October 26, 2020 (UTC+8). After the snapshot, we will convert the OPQ into OPCT at a ratio of 1:1 (1 OPQ = 1 OPCT).
3. KuCoin will open the OPCT deposit service at 18:00:00 on October 28, 2020 (UTC+8).
4. KuCoin will open the trading service for the OPCT/BTC and OPCT/ETH trading pairs and OPCT withdrawal service at 18:00:00 on October 29, 2020 (UTC+8).
